☀️ Summer is here, and we are always looking for fun ways to keep kids engaged while building skills through play!

Our clients LOVE water tables and bubbles, so when we found a way to combine both, we had to share it! 💦🫧

This bubble water table is a great way to encourage sensory exploration, social interaction, communication, turn-taking, and outdoor fun—all while making summer memories.

Whether you're looking for a backyard activity, something to keep little ones busy, or a fun way to cool off on a warm day, this is definitely worth checking out!

Have you tried a bubble water table before? Let us know what your child's favorite summer activity is in the comments! ☀️💙

🎉 EXCITING NEWS!! 🎉

Bright Connections Behavioral Health is proud to be partnering with the Tomah Chamber & Visitors Center and Fort McCoy for the Military Spouse Hiring Initiative! 🇺🇸

Did you know that supporting military families was a huge part of how Bright Connections began?

“While working in telehealth and researching military families, I saw how many children with autism and developmental disabilities struggled to access consistent care. Living between two military bases in a rural community, I witnessed families driving hours for therapy—or going without services entirely because support systems weren’t built around the realities of military and rural life.”
— Catey Rice

This mission continues to drive everything we do, and we’re honored to support the families who serve our country while creating meaningful opportunities within our community. ❤️

What if challenging behavior wasn't viewed as “bad," but meaningful?

Every behavior happens for a reason. Sometimes children are communicating frustration, overwhelm, confusion, sensory needs, anxiety, fatigue, or simply a skill they have not learned yet. Behavior is often a child’s way of saying, “I need help,” even when they do not yet have the words to express it.

When we shift from asking, “How do we stop this behavior?” to “What is this child trying to communicate?” everything begins to change. Understanding behavior allows us to respond with compassion, teach meaningful skills, and build stronger relationships.

Children do best when they feel safe, understood, connected, and supported. Connection must come before correction.

Our newest blog post explores how behavior works, why it makes sense in context, and how parents, teachers, and caregivers can better support children through understanding and connection.
