In a randomized, evaluator-blinded trial, one half of each scalp was injected with PRP and the other half with saline as a placebo. The treated area gained a mean of 33.6 hairs, with density up 45.9 per square centimetre.
Twenty patients completed it. Small study, and individual results vary.
It starts with your own blood. We draw a small amount and spin it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. The gold liquid is the plasma. Nothing synthetic.
We map the thinning areas first. PRP works on follicles that are alive and shrinking. Once one is gone, nothing brings it back.
The plasma goes back in at the level of the follicles. About an hour a visit. No downtime, some tenderness that night.
