Founder and Director Dr. Babak Shabatian is a board certified ophthalmologist who attended the prestigious Boston University School of Medicine to earn his Medical Degree. Dr. Shabatian practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a focus on advanced cataract surgery and LASIK. He has performed thousands of procedures with excellent and predictable results, and he is frequently invited to lecture on topics of refractive and advance cataract surgery. Dr. Shabatian has a sense of compassion in his medical practice. Upon meeting him, his patients will appreciate his warmth and positive energy. 👁️ What Is a Cataract?

A cataract develops when the natural lens of the eye becomes cloudy, causing vision to become blurry or less clear.

Common symptoms may include blurred vision, glare or light sensitivity, difficulty seeing at night, and faded colors.

The good news is that cataracts can be treated. During cataract surgery, the cloudy natural lens is removed and replaced with an artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL) to help restore clearer vision.
