Columbus breast cancer surgeon Dr. Deepa Halaharvi knows firsthand what it means to hear the words, “You have breast cancer.”

Now, she’s using her experience on both sides of a diagnosis to advocate for early detection, education and awareness.

Her story is a powerful reminder that breast cancer doesn’t discriminate, and having no family history doesn’t mean you’re not at risk.

What an incredible evening at Buckeye Valley High School for Pink on the Pitch! A huge THANK YOU to the Buckeye Valley Barons Girls Soccer team for hosting such a meaningful breast cancer awareness game in support of Pink Ribbon Good. 🩷

We were so moved seeing the players rock their pink socks, hand out pink ribbons to the crowd, and share their powerful personal reasons for why "We are playing for..." 🎀🙌

It takes a village, and seeing players, families, friends, and the whole community show up to raise critical funds means real, tangible support for local families facing breast and gynecological cancers right now.
