William A Huryn

William A. Huryn, 76 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, after fighting Parkinson’s Disease for over 30 years. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Brick, NJ, before moving to Little Egg Harbor 11 years ago. He was an usher at St. Peter R.C. Church in Pt. Pleasant, NJ. William (Bill) attended St. Brigid Elementary School and Bushwick High School in Brooklyn. He attended Queensboro Community College in Queens and finished his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree at NJ Institute of Technology. He furthered his education by receiving his Master of Science Degree from Columbia University. Bill went to work for Bell Laboratories, where he achieved the status of Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, having been the recipient of a couple of patents.

Bill enjoyed spending time on the water in his boat fishing and was a member of the Belmar Fishing Club, where he was on the “Work Crew”. He was an avid Mets fan, enjoyed playing cards and travelling, especially to Bermuda, and he loved to challenge his family in a game of Left, Center, Right. At his home in Brick, NJ, you could find him in his driveway, washing his car, talking with his neighbors, and if you needed your car washed, all you needed to do was park your car in the “magic driveway". He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
