Recovery in Action: Giving Back on Miracle Mile 💙♻️

Recovery isn’t only about changing our own lives—it’s about becoming part of something bigger than ourselves.

The Changing Lanes Recovery crew headed out to Miracle Mile in Tucson to roll up our sleeves, clean up our community, and put service into action.

Service is an important part of recovery because it gives us an opportunity to step outside of ourselves. It builds purpose, responsibility, connection, gratitude, and pride. Sometimes one of the best ways to recognize how far we’ve come is to realize that today, we have something to give back.

Every bag of trash picked up might seem like a small thing—but small actions add up. A cleaner street. A stronger community. A sense of accomplishment. And another reminder that recovery gives us the opportunity to show up differently than we did yesterday.

At Changing Lanes Recovery, we believe recovery happens both inside and outside the group room. We don't just talk about building a better life—we get out there and practice it.

Thank you to everyone who came out, worked together, laughed together, and helped make a little piece of Tucson better than we found it.

🐻🦝🐺 Different choices. New purpose. A new path.

💜 RECOVERY IN ACTION — GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY 💜

What an incredible evening for the women of Changing Lanes Recovery! 🐻💜

Our Women’s Recovery Home had the opportunity to spend time at Sister José Women’s Center, where we prepared and served dinner for the women they support. 🍝🥗🍞

But this evening was about so much more than making a meal. It was about connection, gratitude, service, laughter, and women supporting women. ❤️

Our ladies had an amazing time working together in the kitchen, serving dinner, meeting new people, and giving back to the community that has given so much to others.

One of the things we believe strongly at Changing Lanes Recovery is that recovery is about more than staying sober — it’s about rebuilding purpose, becoming part of a community, and discovering that we all have something meaningful to give.

A huge THANK YOU to Sister José Women’s Center for welcoming us and for the incredible work you do every single day for women in our Tucson community. We appreciate your compassion, dedication, and the difference you continue to make. 💜

And we couldn't be prouder of the women from Changing Lanes who showed up, worked together, had some fun, and represented what Recovery in Action is all about!
