Believe it or not, many seniors can still pick up a rotary phone and dial a number without thinking twice!
Meanwhile, many younger generations have never used one and might stare at it wondering, "Where's the touchscreen?" 😄
📊 Fun Facts:
• Nearly 1 in 5 Americans (about 55 million people) still live in a household with a landline phone in 2026.
• Seniors are keeping the tradition alive! About 40.7% of Americans age 65 and older still have a landline at home.
• A recent survey found that 59% of Gen Z said they wouldn't know how to use a rotary phone if handed one today.
• While actual rotary phones are rare, they can still work on some phone systems with the proper adapters.
Our seniors have witnessed an incredible journey from rotary phones and handwritten letters to smartphones and video calls. That's not old-fashioned—that's a lifetime of experience and adaptation. ❤️
Have you ever used a rotary phone? If so, what was the last number you remember dialing on one? 😆
