✨ Welcome to Rise Chiropractic 2.0! ✨
We’re about 75% finished with our new home, and I wanted to give you a quick behind-the-scenes walkthrough of what we’ve been building.
There’s still plenty to do—we’re waiting on our exterior sign, finishing our functional rehab gym, adding a few final touches, and we’re looking forward to welcoming additional practitioners into a couple of our treatment rooms. But even in its current state, this office already feels like everything we hoped it would be.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is different.
Our goal was to create a space that helps your nervous system relax before you ever get adjusted. With abundant natural light, calming biophilic design, quiet surroundings, cool temperatures, easy parking, and restrooms just steps away, we’ve addressed so many of the frustrations that came with our previous location.
The feedback from patients has been incredible—they’re already telling us they feel more relaxed just walking through the door.
This new office was built with the future in mind. It gives us room to grow, room to serve more people, and room to expand the services we offer our community.
We’re proud to have dedicated spaces for:
• Dr. Chris Barnes
• Dr. Madison Dugan
• Alisha Barnes, our in-house Life Coach
Thank you to everyone who has supported us through this transition. We can’t wait to finish the final 25% and continue building a place where people can truly heal.
Welcome to Rise Chiropractic 2.0

One of the best parts of our new office is having another great chiropractor on the team.
I spend my days taking care of patients, so every now and then my own body needs a little attention too. Here’s a look at Dr. Madison Dugan getting me back in working order.
I’m excited that she’s officially seeing patients at Rise Chiropractic! If you’ve been looking for a chiropractor who takes the time to listen and provide personalized care, I’d love for you to meet her.
Call our office at 918-727-7171 and ask to schedule with Dr. Madison Dugan, or use the booking link in the comments/description.
Welcome to the team, Dr. Madison—we’re glad you’re here! See less

🌟MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! 🌟

CityPlex has honestly been great to us!

After COVID, after the stress of everything that came with that season, and after three of my associate doctors moved on to open their own clinics, I honestly just needed a reset. Midtown had been great to us too, but my lease was up, and I knew I needed a place where we could rebrand, regroup, breathe a little bit, and figure out what the long-term version of RISE Chiropractic was going to look like.

That’s really what CityPlex became for us.

It gave us a fresh start with the new name, short-term flexibility while we figured out our future, and a place where we could quietly rebuild the office bigger than it had ever been before.

And we did.

Now, while being on the first floor definitely helped avoid the elevator situation 😂, the parking, long walks, and just trying to explain where we’re located to new patients has still been a challenge at times.

And honestly… we’ve simply outgrown the space.

With everything we’ve got coming next, we needed more room, easier access, better convenience for patients, and the ability to continue expanding what RISE Chiropractic is becoming.

So this is your very first sneak peek at the new office.

We are planning to move sometime in June, but until we officially announce the move date, we are still fully operating inside CityPlex Towers.

This is announcement number FIVE of SEVEN… and the next couple announcements are honestly some of the biggest ones yet.

June is going to change everything! Get ready.

“Your glutes aren’t firing.”

You hear this phrase constantly in the rehab, fitness, chiropractic, and athletic performance world. But here’s the problem. Very few people actually explain WHY it’s happening, and even fewer know how to truly fix it.

Most of the common solutions focus entirely on the hardware side of the body. Stretching. Foam rolling. Activation drills. Band work. Strengthening exercises. And while those things absolutely have value, many people discover they only create temporary change, or no meaningful change at all.

That’s because in many cases, this is actually a software problem, not just a hardware problem.

The nervous system controls muscle tone, movement patterns, protection responses, compensation patterns, pain, and inhibition. If the brain perceives instability, stress, trauma, threat, overload, or unresolved protective patterns, it can literally change the way muscles function and coordinate. You cannot always solve a nervous system problem purely with mechanical approaches.

If you’ve spent months or years trying to “activate” muscles that still refuse to function correctly, it may not mean you’re broken. It may simply mean you’ve been using the wrong approach for the type of problem you actually have.

Our brand new LightForce XLi 40 watt deep tissue therapy laser has officially arrived at RISE.

This is not your typical “red light therapy.” The LightForce system is one of the most respected Class 4 therapy lasers in the world and is used by professional sports teams, elite rehabilitation clinics, chiropractors, physical therapists, and orthopedic specialists across the country. With multiple specialized treatment attachments and incredibly high power output, this system is designed to target muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and deeper tissues far beneath the surface.

Laser therapy works through a process called photobiomodulation, where specific wavelengths of light interact directly with the mitochondria inside your cells. In simple terms, the laser helps stimulate ATP production, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Think of it almost like giving injured cells more energy to repair and recover more efficiently.

The increased power of the XLi allows us to treat larger areas, pe*****te deeper tissues, and complete treatments more efficiently than lower powered therapy lasers. Whether someone is dealing with chronic pain, sports injuries, tendonitis, arthritis, nerve irritation, muscle strain, or inflammation, this technology can be an incredible tool to help speed recovery and improve function.

These systems are extremely advanced and incredibly expensive pieces of medical technology, which is one reason very few clinics actually have them. We’re excited to be able to bring this level of care to our patients while still keeping treatments affordable and accessible.

Announcement #3 of 7…

After 14 years of faithful service, my trusty LiteCure LCT1000 laser has officially retired. Thousands and thousands of patients have been treated with that machine over the years, and it played a huge role in helping people recover faster and heal better.

But the replacement has officially arrived…

We’ve upgraded to the LightForce XLi high-powered Class 4 laser system — one of the most advanced therapeutic lasers available.

This laser delivers dramatically more power, deeper pe*******on, faster treatment times, and more precise targeting of injured tissues. In simple terms, it allows us to deliver more therapeutic energy where it matters most.

One thing I’m especially excited about is combining this with SoftWave therapy.

SoftWave helps stimulate healing responses, blood flow, and cellular activity… while the laser helps drive energy production and recovery at the cellular level. Together, these therapies complement each other incredibly well and can help accelerate the healing process even further.

This is a major upgrade for the clinic, and I’m excited to start putting it to work helping patients recover faster and perform better.

That’s announcement #3 of 7…

Still more to come. Stay tuned.

Hey Dr. Barnes, this has still been bothering me. I felt a lot better after you worked on it, but it only really lasted about a day. I notice it during Gil core, especially alternating legs and crunch type movements, and also when I do hamstring leg raises from the ground. I feel it a bit when I go to kick or swing my leg while throwing too.

It usually goes away once I warm up and get into training, but today I felt a slight tug or pull in that area, almost like something shifted, which concerned me a bit.

I have been trying to do Copenhagens as well, but I feel really weak in that position. Overall, I just feel like I am not doing enough or not addressing it the right way, so I wanted to check in and see what you recommend.

Today marks 2 years since we opened the doors at Rise Chiropractic.

And honestly, I just woke up this morning with a grateful heart.

What started as an idea… a nudge… something I truly believe the Lord placed on our hearts… has turned into something that has far exceeded anything we could have imagined.

Rebranding from Tensegrity to Rise was not a small decision. But it was the right one. And we have seen that confirmed over and over again through the people we get to serve every single day.

To our patients… thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with your health. Not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. That trust means everything to us.

We truly are nothing without you.

We also have several big announcements coming over the next couple of weeks. Things that will continue to show the vision of where this office is going and how we can serve you even better.

But today is just about gratitude.

From the bottom of my heart… thank you for being part of this journey.
