🎉 Miller County Moves Update! 🎉

Together, we've already logged 17,139 minutes of movement toward our goal of 3,000,000 minutes this summer! 👏

Every walk, bike ride, swim, workout, dance party, game of tag, gardening session, and outdoor adventure helps move us closer to our goal.

💡 Haven't joined yet? It's not too late!
You can still participate and log your movement minutes at www.millercountyhealth.com. Simply visit the Miller County Moves page and click "Every Minute Counts – Log Activity Here."

⏰ If you've been active this summer but haven't logged your minutes yet, don't worry! You can still enter all of your activity minutes dating back to May 31. Just submit a separate entry for each day you were active.

Imagine how quickly our total could grow if everyone logged the minutes they've already earned!

Let's keep the momentum going, Miller County. Together, we can reach 3,000,000 minutes of movement by August 29! 💪☀️

🌡️ Heat Advisory in Effect for Miller County Through Wednesday 🌡️

With dangerous temperatures expected over the next several days, it's important to recognize the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

⚠️ Heat Exhaustion: Heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, and cool, clammy skin.

🚨 Heat Stroke (Medical Emergency): High body temperature, confusion, loss of consciousness, hot/red skin, and rapid pulse. Call 911 immediately if someone is showing signs of heat stroke.

Stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day, and check on older adults, young children, and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.

☀️ Summer is here, and so is the sun! Protect your skin by wearing sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, seeking shade during peak sun hours (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.), and wearing a hat and sunglasses when outdoors.

A few simple precautions can help prevent sunburn, skin damage, and skin cancer. Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy your summer! 😎🌞
