Sepsis claims a life every 90 seconds in the United States, making it one of the nation's most serious medical emergencies. In fact, sepsis takes more lives each year than opioids, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and stroke combined. As emergency medicine providers, we know that early recognition and treatment can save lives.

This Sepsis Awareness Month, help us raise awareness, learn the warning signs, and encourage loved ones to seek care when every minute counts.
