Our social center elevator is finally finished! Our CEO Jeremy walks us through the new addition to the social center, and the catalyst for our second floor upgrades! Soon enough, our upstrairs will be filled with new rooms, including but not limited to: A new multi-purpose room for resident activities and a dedicated exercise room!

Throwback Tuesday! This weeks picture is a classic, one where we see Winfred Miller as he is about to go out and chop up a fallen tree for firewood. How resourceful! Back in the day, when a tree fell someone made sure to use so it didn't go to waste. The tree that Winfred chopped up was used for the good old fashioned fireplaces to heat up the old units. We love our volunteers, from the 60s to modern day! Volunteers are a huge part of Maple Lawn Homes, and is a great reminder that we are still the same non-profit community you grew up with. So the next time you see a fallen tree, think of Winfred!

Retirement shouldn't be about searching for the right handymen, it's about taking your time back for yourself. According to census data, homeowners spend over $500 a year on maintenance which can add up over the decades. Having a dedicated on sight maintenance team makes all the difference, as they'll show up at 3pm or 3am all at your convenience.

Tote-ally talented! Our residents and a special guest showed off their creative styles at our latest art class by decorating custom burlap tote bags. From daily words of encouragement like "Do Your Best Today" to fun mantras like "Dance, Sleep, Repeat," everyone made a piece that was uniquely theirs! Which tote design is your favorite? Photos from Fall! 🍂 This fall has been excellent—from the weather to the foliage, we love snapping pictures around campus! Almost all of our trees have changed color by now, making for a colorful landscape this time of the year.

They don't call us Maple Lawn Homes for nothing; you can see multiple maple trees throughout our neighborhoods! These trees give us the feeling that Fall is officially here, and what better way to celebrate than utilizing the walking paths on campus? The walking paths aren't just another amenity—they're something to get you outside and active on the weekends!

Go out there and enjoy the views before winter, as the weather will keep getting colder day by day. Make sure to send us any pictures of your fall decorations for a chance to be featured!

Throwback Tuesday! Neighborhood strolls looked a little different back in the day, Carl Miller (VSer from Pryor OK) is seen at Maple Lawn Homes, Eureka, IL circa 1967-1970. Taking it back to when horseback riding down paved suburban streets was the ultimate way to get around. What’s your favorite memory from around the neighborhood back in the '60s?

The history of Maple Lawn Homes is one of resilience and innovation, as our campus has been immrproving for over 100 years! We have over 100+ units on campus, there is a home for everyone. Our wonderful residents are the most imporant aspect of our community, without them Maple Lawn Homes wouldn't be here today!
