June Mindset 🌺

A little more breathing room and a little less pressure to have everything figured out right now.

Life has a way of moving fast, and sometimes your mind and body need time to catch up.

In a more holistic sense, mental health is not separate from your body, your nervous system, or the way you carry stress day to day. When things feel difficult and overwhelming, it’s often your whole system asking for a reset, not just your mind.

So this month, give yourself permission to:
Slow down.
Step outside.
Notice your breath.
Take breaks without earning them.

Let your nervous system settle, even if just for a few minutes at a time.

Remember, you’re allowed to move at a pace that works for you. And if you need a little help along the way, our team is here for you (link in bio) 💙

June is , and mental health is part of the conversation.

Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. Stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression can impact your quality of life and overall health, so getting support matters.

This month is a reminder that strength isn’t about pushing through everything alone. It’s also about knowing when to pause, check in, and reach out.

Let’s keep the conversation going. 💙

Energy shift ✌️

A useful shift is to stop asking, “How do I get rid of this feeling?” and start asking, “What is this feeling trying to protect or tell me?”

A lot of emotional exhaustion comes from fighting ourselves internally — suppressing grief, over-controlling uncertainty, constantly performing, or judging our own reactions. Energy often returns when the nervous system feels safe enough to stop defending.

Instead of forcing positivity, try:

* naming the emotion honestly,
* reducing self-criticism,
* letting one thing be unfinished,
* and reconnecting with something grounding: sleep, sunlight, movement, silence, connection, creativity, prayer, journaling — whatever makes you feel more like yourself instead of more productive.

Healing energy is usually less about “pushing harder” and more about reducing the internal friction that’s draining you.

We’re at the 2026 APA Annual Meeting this week, connecting with clinicians from around the world and sharing space with over 100,000 professionals committed to advancing mental health care.

It’s energizing to be part of conversations focused on innovation, collaboration, and new ways to better support the people we serve. When clinicians come together like this, care improves—ideas grow, approaches evolve, and patients ultimately benefit.

There’s real value in collaboration, and we’re grateful to be in a space that prioritizes learning from one another and moving the field forward together.

If you’re attending, stop by Booth #2138 and say hello. We’d love to connect.

Details matter 👀

Every corner, color, and curve is carefully designed with Quantum Healing in mind.

Quantum Healing teaches us that energy flows everywhere, and the spaces we inhabit can guide that energy. That’s why we use sacred geometry, thoughtful layouts, and mindful details to create rooms that feel safe, calming, and alive. Every pattern, every shape, every light reflection is chosen to help your energy settle, open, and reset.

When you walk in, you’re stepping into a space designed to nurture your whole being. The soft lighting, the textures, the furniture arrangement—it’s all part of a quiet conversation between you and the energy of the space, supporting your journey to wellness.

At New U Therapy Center & Family Services, attention to detail is our superpower, and quantum design is our language of love for your wellbeing 💕

Other Things you should be “refilling” every day:

• Your rest 💤 — even small breaks count
• Your boundaries 🚧 — saying no is part of self-care
• Your thoughts 🧠 — not everything you think is true
• Your patience 🌿 — especially with yourself
• Your connection 🤍 — a message, a call, a real moment
• Your water 💧 — because your body and mind are connected
• Your grace ✨ — you’re allowed to not be perfect every day

Mental health isn’t built in one big moment—it’s maintained in the small things you refill daily.

❤️

A lot of us try to fix our lives by doing more.
We plan more.
We work more.
We scroll more.
We push harder.
But sometimes that just adds more noise.

What actually changes things is what is happening inside of you while you are doing all of that.

Your energy sets the tone for how you move through your day. When your mind feels scattered, your decisions feel scattered. When your body feels tense, even simple things feel hard. When your thoughts are heavy, everything starts to feel heavier than it really is.

So instead of asking “how do I fix everything,” it can help to ask “what is my energy right now.”

Not in a judgment way. Just in an honest way.

In ideas like quantum healing, there is a focus on how awareness plays a role in change. The idea is that when you start paying attention to your inner state, even in small ways, you begin to experience things differently. Not because the world instantly changes, but because you are no longer moving through it the same way.

That is what makes this idea so powerful.

You do not have to force yourself into a new life overnight. You do not have to have it all figured out. You do not even have to feel completely okay to start.

You just have to notice.

Notice when you are holding your breath.
Notice when your thoughts are running ahead of you.
Notice when you are trying to carry too much at once.

And then, gently shift something small.

Slow your breathing.
Unclench your jaw.
Put one hand on your chest and just pause for a second.
Choose one thought that feels a little more steady than the rest.

Because your direction in life is not only shaped by your goals. It is shaped by your state. And your state can change in small moments like this.

When your energy shifts, even slightly, your perspective softens. And when your perspective softens, new choices start to show up.

Not because everything got easier. But because you became more aware inside of it.

Community support 💚

Thank you to the City of Torrance CA Government and North High School for inviting us to support the mentor program this year.

It was an honor to connect with a student each month, focusing on career and professional development, and to be a small part of their journey forward.

Investing time, sharing experiences, and simply showing up—these moments add up. We’re proud to support the next generation and thankful to be part of a community that values growth, guidance, and opportunity.

Our Greenwall 🌳

There’s a reason the first thing people notice when they walk into our Torrance space is the custom green wall.

It’s not just design. It’s intention.

In a world that constantly asks your nervous system to stay “on,” we wanted to create a space that quietly invites you to exhale. The layered greenery, the depth, the texture—it all mirrors something deeply familiar to the human body: the forest.

There’s a concept often called forest frequency—the natural rhythm and calm our bodies recognize when we’re surrounded by trees, plants, and organic life. It’s why a walk outside can shift your mood without you even realizing it. Your heart rate slows. Your breath deepens. Your mind softens.

We wanted to bring that feeling indoors.

Each element of the wall was chosen to recreate that grounded, immersive experience. The variations in green aren’t random—they reflect the diversity of nature, reminding us that there isn’t just one way to grow, to heal, to be. The textures add dimension and depth, inviting your eyes (and your mind) to slow down, to explore, to settle.

This is where design meets something deeper—what many refer to as quantum healing: the idea that our environment, energy, and internal state are all connected. When you step into a space that feels safe, calm, and alive, your body begins to respond before your mind even catches up.

That’s the vision behind the wall.

Not just something beautiful to look at, but something you can feel.

A visual reminder that healing doesn’t always have to be clinical or complicated. Sometimes, it begins with creating the right environment.

Thanks
