NeurishU by New U is coming 🎉

Something new is coming to New U Therapy Center & Family Services… and we can’t wait to welcome you. ❤️

This August, we’re opening enrollment for our NeurishU Functional Psychiatry Membership which is a more personalized approach to mental health care built around understanding the whole person.

Because sometimes people aren’t looking for another quick fix. They’re looking for answers. They want more time, deeper conversations, and someone who will take the time to connect the dots.

Your mental health is influenced by so many parts of your life like your sleep, nutrition, stress, relationships, physical health, daily habits, and the experiences that have shaped you.

Functional psychiatry looks beyond the symptoms alone. It gives us the opportunity to better understand what may be contributing to how you feel and create a care plan that reflects your unique story.

For our first enrollment period, we’ll be welcoming a limited number of members so we can provide the time, attention, and individualized care each person deserves.

If you’ve been hoping for a different kind of conversation about your mental health, we’d be honored to walk alongside you.

✨ Want to be one of the first to learn more? Reach out today to hold your spot on our waitlist.

We’re grateful to begin this next chapter and can’t wait to share all the details with you.

Nature is full of patterns. 🌴 ☀️ 🌼

You can see them in the spiral of a seashell, the symmetry of a flower, the branches of a tree, and even the galaxies above us. Whether you view these patterns through science, spirituality, or simply as a reminder to slow down, they invite us to pay attention.

Our lives have patterns, too.

The thoughts we repeat.
The relationships we choose.
The stories we tell ourselves.
The habits we return to when life feels uncertain.

Some patterns help us grow. They bring peace, resilience, and a deeper connection to ourselves.

Others keep us stuck in cycles we no longer need.

Healing isn’t always about becoming someone different. Sometimes it’s about recognizing the patterns you’ve outgrown and choosing, one small decision at a time, to create new ones.

Just as nature is constantly adapting, shedding, and renewing, you have that same capacity for change.

What pattern in your life are you ready to release?

And what new one are you ready to create?

Stop normalizing chaotic environments!

We spend so much time talking about what we put into our bodies, but rarely talk about what we surround them with.

Not every environment is created for healing.

Some spaces keep your shoulders tense. Your breathing shallow. Your mind on high alert. Over time, your nervous system begins to expect that feeling. It becomes your normal.

But it doesn’t have to be. ☀️

Imagine walking into a place where you instinctively slow down. Where the lighting is softer. The noise fades. The atmosphere feels peaceful. Your body notices before your mind has time to explain why.

That’s because your nervous system is constantly taking in information from the world around you. It responds to what it sees, hears, and feels—even when you’re not consciously thinking about it.

Stop normalizing environments that leave you anxious.

Start choosing spaces that support calm, connection, and healing.

Healing isn’t just about the conversation you have with your provider. It’s also about the environment that surrounds that conversation.

At New U Therapy Center, we’ve intentionally created a space that feels different from the moment you arrive. Every detail was chosen to help you slow down, feel supported, and begin your journey toward healing.

Because sometimes the first step isn’t saying a word.

Sometimes it’s finally feeling safe enough to exhale.

✨ Come experience a healing environment in Torrance.

Calm spaces ❤️

Before you even have a thought about how you feel in a space, your nervous system has already made a decision based on what it sees, hears, and senses.

Soft lighting can signal calm. ☺️

Harsh lighting can signal alertness. 🚨

Gentle sound can help you settle, while constant noise can keep your system on edge. ☀️

Even color has a way of shaping how your body holds tension or lets it go. 🎨

Most of this happens quietly, without you noticing. But your body notices everything.

And over time, the patterns you’re surrounded by can shape the way you move through your day more tense, or more at ease.

That’s part of the intention behind the calm environment we’ve created at New U Therapy Center & Family Services. Every detail is designed to support a sense of grounding and ease, so you can slow down, breathe a little deeper, and feel more present in your own body.

Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt your shoulders relax?

That’s the feeling we wanted to create at New U Therapy Center & Family Services. Our environment was designed with intention, drawing inspiration from nature, sacred geometry, and peaceful spaces that invite stillness and reflection.

While healing comes from many factors (including evidence-based care and meaningful relationships) we believe the environment you step into can help you feel more grounded and open to the process.

Because sometimes the first step toward healing is simply finding a place where you feel at peace. ☀️

Ever walk into a space and feel your body relax right away?

That’s not random. Environment plays a real role in how we feel and heal.

At New U Therapy Center & Family Services, we use sacred geometry in our design because nature is full of patterns that feel balanced, calming, and grounding. From flowers to shells to galaxies, these shapes remind us that order and harmony exist all around us.

We believe healing doesn’t start and end in the therapy room. It also happens in the space around you. Light, flow, and design all help create a sense of safety so you can slow down and do the deeper work.

Because every detail of the environment should support every step of your healing.

Discover the meaning of sacred geometry and why New U Therapy Center & Family Services incorporates these natural patterns into healing spaces that promote balance, connection, and well-being.

June Mindset 🌺

A little more breathing room and a little less pressure to have everything figured out right now.

Life has a way of moving fast, and sometimes your mind and body need time to catch up.

In a more holistic sense, mental health is not separate from your body, your nervous system, or the way you carry stress day to day. When things feel difficult and overwhelming, it’s often your whole system asking for a reset, not just your mind.

So this month, give yourself permission to:
Slow down.
Step outside.
Notice your breath.
Take breaks without earning them.

Let your nervous system settle, even if just for a few minutes at a time.

Remember, you’re allowed to move at a pace that works for you. And if you need a little help along the way, our team is here for you (link in bio) 💙

June is , and mental health is part of the conversation.

Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. Stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression can impact your quality of life and overall health, so getting support matters.

This month is a reminder that strength isn’t about pushing through everything alone. It’s also about knowing when to pause, check in, and reach out.

Let’s keep the conversation going. 💙

Energy shift ✌️

A useful shift is to stop asking, “How do I get rid of this feeling?” and start asking, “What is this feeling trying to protect or tell me?”

A lot of emotional exhaustion comes from fighting ourselves internally — suppressing grief, over-controlling uncertainty, constantly performing, or judging our own reactions. Energy often returns when the nervous system feels safe enough to stop defending.

Instead of forcing positivity, try:

* naming the emotion honestly,
* reducing self-criticism,
* letting one thing be unfinished,
* and reconnecting with something grounding: sleep, sunlight, movement, silence, connection, creativity, prayer, journaling — whatever makes you feel more like yourself instead of more productive.

Healing energy is usually less about “pushing harder” and more about reducing the internal friction that’s draining you.
