Yesterday, shovels went in the ground. HealthLinc Opportunity Enterprises broke ground on a new clinic at 3101 Evans Avenue. It’s designed so people of all abilities feel welcomed and understood.

The 7,500-square-foot clinic will offer primary, immediate, and dental care to all community members, with a focus on individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. It will include mobility-friendly exam rooms, a sensory room, an adult changing table, accessible equipment, and staff specially trained to support sensory and mobility needs. Physical and occupational therapy, operated by OE, will be on site too.

Thank you to Mayor Jon Costas, Kelly Anthony of Senator Todd Young’s office, our donors, community partners, staff, and the individuals we serve who joined us. Construction is expected to wrap up in Summer 2027.

Something very exciting is happening right here in Valparaiso – a new health clinic will soon open to the public, specifically designed for people with disabilities, who often face great challenges when trying to access quality healthcare. Opportunity Enterprises and HealthLinc have joined forces to create a space that prioritizes the needs of the intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) community and paves the way for systemic change in healthcare delivery.

OE and HealthLinc will break ground tomorrow, October 26 - be a part of this exciting new development in our community with a contribution to the Porter County Community Foundation fund that helps make this dream a reality!

Valparaiso Sunrise Kiwanis Club members stained the deck at the Rebecca group home! This was a rescheduled project from the rainy / bad weather day of United Way Northwest Indiana 's Day of Caring.
