Words matter…
Next month is breast health month, so I thought it would be good to take September to talk about this topic. Every Wednesday this month we’ll chat stats, research, options.
Today, let’s define two words:
•prevention~the action of stopping something from happening
•detection~the act or process of noticing or discovering something that is hidden or hard to perceive
Tangible ways to prevent breast disease include lifestyle choices (food you eat, movement, lower stress, eliminate toxins, forgiveness).
Realistic ways to detect breast issues include self exams, having all the imaging options offered to you, and knowing your body well.
The breast industry tends to be driven by fear…unnecessarily. We’ll talk ways you can support your body, and not be sucked in by fear (who is a liar!)🌿
Interesting side thought…wouldn’t it be crazy if every single body part had a whole month devoted to it?!?!
