☀️ Diabetes + hot weather deserves a little extra planning.
People with diabetes can become dehydrated more quickly in hot weather, and high temperatures can affect insulin and diabetes supplies. Stay hydrated, monitor blood sugar as directed, and protect medications, meters, pumps, and test strips from excessive heat.
If you use insulin or another temperature-sensitive product, know its storage recommendations before spending a long day outdoors or traveling.
