🪎3 THINGS EVERY HORSE OWNER NEEDS TO KNOW About Cinch Placement

🪎PLACE THE CINCH IN THE NATURAL GIRTH GROOVE

💎THE CINCH SHOULD SIT IN THE NATURAL NARROW AREA JUST BEHIND THE ELBOW. THIS ALLOWS THE SADDLE TO STAY STABLE AND LETS THE HORSE MOVE FREELY.

🪎RIGHT PLACE

💎PLACE THE CINCH IN THE HORSE’S NATURAL GIRTH GROOVE JUST BEHIND THE ELBOW.

💎TOO FAR FORWARD CREATES PRESSURE & RESTRICTION.

💎PRESSURE BEHIND THE ELBOW CAN RESTRICT SHOULDER MOVEMENT, REDUCE STRIDE FREEDOM, AND CAUSE SORENESS. PROPER PLACEMENT SUPPORTS COMFORT, MOVEMENT, AND PERFORMANCE.

💎AVOID PRESSURE
TOO FAR FORWARD INCREASES PRESSURE BEHIND THE ELBOW AND CAN RESTRICT MOVEMENT AND CAUSE SORENESS.

🪎DON’T OVER-TIGHTEN THE CINCH
OVER-TIGHTENING SHIFTS PRESSURE FORWARD AND CAN AFFECT BREATHING, MOVEMENT, AND COMFORT. TIGHTEN GRAUDALLY, WALK THE HORSE, THEN RECHECK FOR A PROPER FIT.

💎RIGHT TENSION
OVER-TIGHTENING SHIFTS PRESSURE AND CAN AFFECT PERFORMANCE. TIGHTEN GRADUALLY AND RECHECK AFTER.

This is one of the nicest GRP I’ve ever seen. If you know of wonderful owner looking for their next amazing small horse, give Allison a call!

I’d love for her to stay close so I can continue to work on her!

Monet and Carl showing their stuff in their new saddle. Gotta love it!

An exciting new Carl Hester ride to follow.

Monet X – a nine-year-old gelding bred a mile from Carl's yard by Sandra Biddlecombe – won the Aviar developing grand prix FEI Intermediate B at the revamped Hickstead on 75.05%, with nines for piaffe and passage.

Originally produced by Dan Bremner, the gelding was offered to Carl last year. "I said to Dan: I'm trying to wind down, not wind up," Carl explained. "But I said, if I fall in love with him, I'll help you out!

"He's an absolute machine of a horse. A bright, solid unit, with a very good head on him. He's very natural – not a man-made horse at all."

I love it when Dr. Ivana posts the videos that validate my convictions about certain pieces of equipment. Girths matter!

Love this team, and they love their saddles. ❤️

When I tell people that we should ask the horse how they feel about their Saddles and tack, I truly mean it.

Here is Brie telling us that her newly flocked saddle is much more to her liking. Of course, the video stopped before the big yawns started, but you get the point.

Your horse will be very clear about whether or not the saddle is comfortable for them. You just have to pay attention to their reaction.
