To know them is to love them! And goodness, do we love these girls!

Brynnlie, Abbie, Shaylee, and Gracie — we don’t know what we would do without you!

These four girls are truly the rock and heartbeat of Altitude Veterinary Services. They are the ones who keep our days running, our patients loved and cared for, and somehow manage to hold everything together even on the craziest of days!

They work incredibly hard, wear a million different hats, and give so much of themselves every single day. They have the biggest hearts, the kindest souls, and a genuine love for the animals they care for. Whether it’s comforting a scared patient, helping a worried owner, or jumping in wherever an extra hand is needed, these girls never hesitate.

But what makes them so special isn’t just how amazing they are at their jobs. It’s who they are as people. Each of them brings something so wonderful to our clinic. Their kindness, laughter, personalities, and the love they put into everything they do make our days so much better.

There are long days, hard days, emotional days, and days when nothing seems to slow down. Through it all, these girls give their very best, look out for one another, and keep going with so much heart.

Girls, we hope you know just how much you mean to us. We see how hard you work, we notice the little things you do, and we appreciate you more than we could ever put into words. You make the hard days easier, the good days even sweeter, and our clinic feel like family.

We’d like to introduce you to a very important member of the Altitude Veterinary Services family—our resident clinic bunny, Ralphie! ❤️

Ralphie may not wear scrubs or carry a stethoscope, but she takes this job very seriously. Her duties include supervising the team, inspecting the office, accepting treats, and providing plenty of smiles throughout the day.

She’s definitely mastered the art of getting attention whenever she wants it—and honestly, we’re not complaining.

So if you see a fluffy pair of ears hopping around the clinic, you’ll know who it is!

🐍 Happy Snake Day!

Did you know that snakes make incredible pets when they're provided with the right care? At Altitude Veterinary Services, we're proud to care for a variety of exotic pets—including snakes!

Whether you're a first-time snake owner or an experienced reptile enthusiast, proper husbandry is one of the most important factors in keeping your snake healthy.

Here are a few tips for successful snake care:

• Provide the correct temperature gradient. Snakes rely on external heat to regulate their body temperature, so they need both a warm side and a cooler side in their enclosure.
• Maintain appropriate humidity. Every species has different humidity requirements, and proper levels are essential for healthy sheds and respiratory health.
• Feed the right prey size and schedule. Avoid overfeeding, and always offer appropriately sized prey for your snake's age and species.
• Always provide fresh, clean water. Many snakes enjoy soaking, especially during shedding.
• Minimize handling after meals. Wait 48–72 hours after feeding to reduce the risk of regurgitation.
• Watch for signs of illness. Difficulty shedding, wheezing, bubbles around the nose or mouth, mouth discoloration, weight loss, mites, or refusing meals for an abnormal length of time can all be signs that your snake needs veterinary care.

One of the biggest misconceptions about snakes is that they don't need routine veterinary care. Regular health exams can help identify problems early, ensure your husbandry is on track, and keep your snake thriving for years to come.

Whether you share your home with a ball python, corn snake, boa, king snake, or another reptile, our team is here to help with wellness exams, health concerns, and exotic pet care.
