Today I had the pleasure of reconnecting with a bowling buddy I hadn't seen in a while. He was incredibly generous and surprised me by gifting me a Brunswick Rhino Carbon/Lime/Silver Pearl reactive bowling ball. I can't thank him enough!

I've always bowled using a conventional grip, but after talking with him, I've decided to step outside my comfort zone and try a fingertip grip when I get this ball drilled. It's something I've never tried before, and I'm excited to see how it changes my game.

If you're wondering what the difference is, don't worry - I had to look it up myself!

🎳 Conventional Grip: Your middle and ring fingers are inserted to the second knuckle, making the ball feel very secure and stable. It's great for throwing a straight, accurate shot, but it limits how much hook you can create.

🎳 Fingertip Grip: Only the tips of your middle and ring fingers go into the ball. It can feel a little strange at first, but because the ball is custom-drilled to fit your hand, it's actually very secure. This grip allows your thumb to exit the ball just before your fingers, giving your fingertips the chance to rotate the ball at release. That extra rotation creates the hook that many league and professional bowlers rely on for better pin action.

I'm looking forward to learning something new and seeing how this grip improves my game. A huge thank you again to my bowling buddy for such an awesome gift and for encouraging me to take the next step in my bowling journey. I can't wait to get this ball drilled and hit the lanes!

People see the wheelchair before they see the bowler.

This video is a reminder to watch the game instead.

Every frame is played on a standard lane. Standard pins. Standard scoring. Standard rules. The only adaptation is that I lock my wheelchair at the foul line and execute the shot.

No special treatment. No modified game.

Just repetition, mechanics, adjustments, and ex*****on - the same things every bowler works on.

That's what Rollin' with Rollie is all about.

Same Game. Same Rules.

🎳 Watch the process. Change the perspective.

Today was all about hitting the pocket... Or this was the only one I got in 3 games 🤣🤔

Who's up for a little bowling today? I'm not getting tired of bowling, but I'm tired of showing up every Saturday by myself. You don't have to be good, and you don't even have to be a bowler. If you've ever wanted to try bowling, today's the day.

I would like to extend my gratitude and recognition to the following individuals for their outstanding engagement: Traci Bauman, Bonnie Peetz, Eduard Sides, Leslie Love, and Faith Renee Lafary.

It was another week of bowling with a slow start where I struggled to hit the pocket, but I eventually found my rhythm. However, even when I started hitting the pocket correctly, those annoying 7 and 10 pins still managed to humble me a bit. Despite that, I'm satisfied with my overall scores. A series of 346 has always been a good standard for me in the summer league. I find that I learn more about my game in the summer than in the winter, but my scores tend to be worse.

1:04:24! 4 on the 4th fought hard, but I fought harder. Honestly, this was an amazing experience; there was one big hill that I had to do twice, but I took it slow and steady to do it myself. I got to see several people that I know, including both event participants and event staff. Everyone was cheering me on, whether they were passing me from behind or passing me coming back through the course as the second half of it. I kept a pace of a 16 minute 6 second mile and an average speed of 3.73 MPH. While I did not accomplish my goal of beating my 5K time from 2 weeks ago, which is fine since this course was 0.9 miles longer, I did accomplish finishing these 4 miles completely on my own
