n the game, or a senior is trying to keep up with friends and family, Dr. Robinson enjoys helping people get back quickly to the activities that make them happy. He teaches patients about their condition and makes sure they understand all the treatment options available without unduly influencing their decisions. He encourages patients to ask questions and select a treatment plan that allows for effective medical care that meets their individual goals. Dr. Robinson has conducted extensive scientific research, published multiple journal articles, and written several book chapters to advance the field of orthopaedics. Dr. Robinson works closely with Linda Liebold, PA-C, Mandy Quinn PA-C and Cassie Lipinski MS, ATC, OTC

Dr. Robinson, his wife, and two sons live in Virginia Beach where he enjoys time with his family, football, golf, and the beach.

⚡️ Feeling a “Catch” in Your Shoulder? It Might Be a SLAP Tear.
A SLAP Tear (Superior Labrum Anterior and Posterior) is an injury to the cartilage ring in your shoulder socket. Whether it’s from years of overhead throwing or a sudden fall, this injury can make even simple movements feel painful and “unstable.”

🚩 Look out for these signs:
•Popping, clicking, or grinding sensations.
•Deep aching pain, especially when lifting overhead.
•Loss of strength or “dead arm” during sports.
•A feeling that your shoulder is catching or slipping.

While many cases improve with physical therapy and anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), persistent pain may require an arthroscopic SLAP repair to get you back to 100%.

National Surgical Assistant Week, recognized by the National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA), is a significant annual celebration that honors the vital contributions of surgical assistants to patient care and the healthcare community. This special week is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the dedication, skill, and crucial role that surgical assistants play in the operating room. The 2026 celebration takes place from April 13–17, a time to shine a spotlight on the hard work and commitment of these medical professionals. During this week, we recognize the importance of surgical assistants in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, their attention to detail, and their ability to work well under pressure.

The NSAA's efforts to promote the profession and advocate for the interests of surgical assistants are also recognized during this week. So let's come together to celebrate the invaluable contributions of surgical assistants and express our gratitude for all that they do! 🎉💕
