Spent an hour this afternoon going through my container of misc trims and ribbons. It's been in the closet for longer than I care to admit. I put them in little bags for my "Mrs. Joy's" fabric kiosk at VA Vintage. It may seem tedious to some, but this is the kind of thing I love doing. Fabric, buttons, ribbons and notions - anything to do with sewing. It's my "thing". 😁

‼️ Attention, boaters! Please keep a lookout!!🐋

Today, we encountered something truly unexpected and extraordinary, a juvenile North Atlantic right whale just off the Virginia Beach coast!

With only approximately 380 North Atlantic right whales remaining on the planet, every single whale matters. These critically endangered giants spend most of their time near the surface, making them especially vulnerable to boat strikes.

If you’re heading out on the water, please remember North Atlantic right whales are federally protected. It is illegal to approach a right whale within 500 yards.
⚠️ Stay alert and keep a lookout for whales.
⚠️ Slow down if you spot one.
⚠️Report all right whale sightings to NOAA or the USCG.

Please help spread the word by sharing this post with your fellow boaters!

We follow all marine wildlife watching guidelines on all of our trips. Photo taken with telephoto zoom lens and cropped.
