September is National Recovery Month. 💜

Recovery doesn’t always show us exactly where the road is going. Sometimes we can only see the next turn.

But we keep going.

This month, we celebrate the strength it takes to choose recovery, the people walking that road today, and the hope that reminds us change is possible.

One day at a time. One turn at a time. Keep going.

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost to overdose and hold close the families, friends, and communities who carry their memory.

Those we’ve lost were someone’s child, parent, sibling, friend, or loved one. They had stories, dreams, struggles, laughter, and people who loved them. They were loved, they were valued, and their struggles did not define who they were.

At Visalia Recovery Center, we are reminded every day that recovery is possible, that hope can return, and that no one should have to walk through this alone.

Today we remember those we’ve lost, stand beside those who are still struggling, and celebrate every person who continues to choose recovery, one day at a time. 💜
