August is National Immunization Awareness Month, a good reminder to check in on the vaccines that may be recommended for you and your family.

South County Health Primary Care providers can help patients stay up to date on routine and seasonal vaccinations, including the flu vaccine, based on age, health history, and individual needs.

For expectant mothers, the Center for Women’s Health encourages patients to talk with their care team about recommended vaccines during pregnancy, including Tdap and the seasonal flu vaccine.

Every feeding journey begins with support, preparation, and confidence.

During National Breastfeeding Month, South County Health is highlighting resources available to help expectant parents prepare for their baby’s arrival. Our free Breastfeeding Success course is a two-hour prenatal class led by a Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Participants will learn what to expect at the hospital, strategies for avoiding common breastfeeding challenges, tips for supporting milk supply, and the facts behind common breastfeeding myths. Partners or a support person are encouraged to attend.

The music may have ended, but the impact of Wednesday's special performance continues to resonate throughout South County Hospital.

After violinist and three-time Olympian Elizabeth Beisel and Naples Philharmonic Concertmaster Zachary DePue performed for more than 50 guests in our main lobby, attendees shared what the experience meant to them:

On Wednesday, July 29, the main lobby of South County Hospital was filled with more than 50 guests who gathered to enjoy a morning of world-class music. The special performance featured violinist, and 3x Olympian, Elizabeth Beisel, of Rhode Island, and Zachary DePue, Concertmaster for the Naples Philharmonic. The event was part of a groundbreaking collaboration between South County Health and the Kingston Chamber Music Festival.
