These GLP-1 medications got normalized fast and I get the appeal. But I keep coming back to the fact that we don’t actually know the long-term effects yet.

That’s not a judgment on anyone taking one. I just think it’s worth naming out loud instead of assuming it’s fully figured out.

Would love to hear how people are thinking about this.

Clients often ask me what I think about psychedelics.

What I emphasize is that the medicine is only one part of the journey. What happens afterward matters just as much.

A profound experience can surface old wounds and shadow material you weren’t expecting. Without support for that afterward, it can leave you holding more than you know what to do with.

This is where integration work comes in. It’s important to give yourself spaciousness and stillness, and integrate alongside a supportive and grounded witness so that you aren’t left overhwelmed with all you have to metabolize.
