95 years old, nearly 500 songs, and a lifetime of love for music. 🎹💛

Meet Lou Newman, a resident at StoryPoint Carmel whose piano playing brings a little extra joy to her neighbors every day!

Whether she's welcoming visitors with a familiar tune, accompanying the resident choir, or playing a song that takes someone back to a special moment, Lou knows just how powerful music can be.

“People stop by the piano every day, they say, ‘I was so down this morning, but when I heard your music, it made me happy.’ So, how can you not play?”

🌞 Join us every morning at 9:45 by the Enhanced Living Fireplace. 👫 Together we will raise awareness through discussion and action to support a cause close to our hearts. 🪖 It's estimated that we lose about 22 veterans a year to su***de. 💪 The 22 a Day Challenge was started to raise awareness. 🫂 Each pushup is a silent way to honor each one of those lives lost every year. 🤗 Let's work together to make a difference. 🤍 Show your support and join us every morning for 22 days of pushups leading all the way up to Veteran's Day.

Our talented Art Class residents have been hard at work creating these amazing Halloween shadow boxes 🖤🧡 Each one is a tiny haunted world, with plenty of creativity (and a little mischief 😉) packed inside!

We love seeing our residents' imaginations come to life, one pumpkin, ghost, and cobweb at a time 🕸️🦇✨

☕ Who doesn't love a good hot cup of coffee? We celebrated National Coffee Day with an outing to our favorite locally owned coffee shop and with tiramisu, a sweet coffee flavored treat, at Happy Hour this week!
