Remembering September 11, 2001, 25 Years Later

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We remember the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage, compassion, and sacrifice that followed.

We remember a day that tested our nation, and showed us the strength that can be found when we stand together.

Today, we honor those we lost, those who served, and those who continue to carry the memories of that day.

We will never forget.

We’re excited to welcome our WCHS CWE student, Breanna, to the team! She’ll be joining us throughout the school year, and we’re looking forward to having her with us!

Hi, I'm Breanna Banie, a student at Watford City High School. I play Varsity volleyball, basketball, and track. Next year I will be headed to college to study physical therapy. I am very excited to work at Homestead Physical Therapy and the opportunities it has in store for me!

In the last 10 years ACL surgery techniques have definitely advanced. However, there are some things that simply cannot be rushed. It is an anomaly when a high end athlete returns to competition ahead of 9 months after an ACL reconstruction. And when they do, the statistics don't lie and the rate of reinjury skyrockets. Don't rush a youth athlete's recovery.

It is so easy to let things slide. As therapists we often meet people who are not at their best and we have to keep motivating them to keep pressing forward towards recovery. When you don't feel like moving or exercising always remember, there is someone who would give anything to be able to move or exercise like you can! 🏃🏋️‍♀️🏋

It's National Dog Day! 🐶🐾🐕🐩
Did you know dogs are used in therapy in so many different ways? But therapy dogs are different than service dogs. Here is an explanation of the difference from the American Physical Therapy Association:
👉Therapy dogs and service dogs serve different functions. Service animals are trained to perform major life tasks to assist people with physical disabilities, such as pulling a wheelchair or retrieving dropped objects. Therapy animals interact with many people. When used in animal-assisted therapy, they help PTs and occupational therapists meet goals that are important to a person's recovery. When used in facility therapy, they work in hospitals, nursing homes, and similar settings.
