Today, we gathered as a community to remember and honor the lives forever changed by September 11, 2001.

On the 25th anniversary, we reflected on the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families who continue to carry their loved ones in their hearts, and the incredible spirit of unity and compassion that followed.

Together, we paused, remembered, and honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to the Passaic County Sheriff's Dept for also joining by assisting with the lowering of the flag and sharing their stories.

We kicked off the NFL season in style at Brightview Wayne with a festive Tailgates & Touchdowns Happy Hour! Our residents enjoyed great food, drinks, plenty of team spirit, and lots of fun as we celebrated the first day of football season. 🏈🍻

A special thank you to the Wayne Valley High School Cheerleaders for joining us and bringing even MORE spirit to the celebration! 📣❤️🤍 Their energy, enthusiasm, and incredible routines had everyone cheering along!

Yesterday, we celebrated a truly incredible milestone — our beloved resident Anna turned 102! 💕🎂🥳

And when we asked Anna what her secret is to a long and happy life, her answer was simple: “Just keep moving!”

At 102, Anna is living proof that a little movement, a positive spirit, and plenty of joy can go a long way! ❤️ Here’s to celebrating 102 years of memories, laughter, love, and living life to the fullest.

We turned Brightview Wayne PURPLE today! 💜✨ From purple ice cream to ALL the purple toppings, we had the sweetest time coming together for an even sweeter purpose — supporting Alzheimer’s awareness and research. 💜

And the support didn’t stop at our front doors! We had residents, families, team members, friends, an Amazon delivery driver, a customer, AND even a ShopRite delivery driver stop by for a scoop! 😂🍦💜We love that our Purple Scoops for a Purpose brought our whole community together!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a scoop, and helped us make a difference. Every scoop counts! 💜🫶

Four years, same tradition! 🛥️☀️🌊

Our annual River Lady cruise down in Toms River has officially become one of our favorite traditions! This was our 4th year in a row, and at this point, the whole crew practically knows us!

We enjoyed a beautiful day out on the water filled with wonderful food, lots of laughs, sunshine, and that refreshing saltwater air. There’s just something so special about getting everyone together, making memories, and enjoying a day away from the everyday routine.

🎬🍿 Our first Drive-In Movie Night! 🚗✨

Our residents enjoyed a cozy evening under the “stars” with popcorn, candy, soda, and a showing of The Breakfast Club!

Now… we may have gotten a little ahead of ourselves with the 7 PM start time because apparently the sun had other plans. We did our best to see the screen while it was still light out, but hey, you live and you learn! Next time, we’ll be waiting just a little longer for the sun to go down.

Either way, it was a fun first try, lots of laughs, cute pics and a great evening spent together! 🍿🎬❤️

Yesterday, we surprised our very own Julius with a special dedication in honor of all the love and care he pours into our community garden 🪴🪏

Julius tends to our garden every single day, helping it flourish into a beautiful space that brings so much joy to our community. To celebrate his dedication, we surprised him with a plaque on a bench overlooking the very garden he has lovingly cared for

Now, Julius has the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful garden he helped grow.

Thank you, Julius, for reminding us that when you nurture something with love, it truly blossoms! 🩷

💙✨ A Little Sprinkle of Love for Baby Boy!

Today, we gathered during Happy Hour to celebrate our Executive Director, Emily, and the sweetest little boy who will be joining her family this August!

Our residents, associates, and Emily’s family all came together to shower her with love, laughter, and so many beautiful memories as she gets ready to welcome her baby boy. It was truly a special afternoon filled with joy, happy hearts, and the kind of togetherness that makes our community feel like family. 💙

A very special shoutout to our amazing associate, Velma, who brought and catered her own delicious food for the celebration—it was an absolute hit!

And of course, a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who chipped in for Emily’s big surprise gift: a photography session for her whole family! What a beautiful way to capture this special season of life and the love that surrounds their growing family.

Emily, we are so excited to watch your family grow and cannot wait to meet your sweet baby boy! 💙 We hope you felt just how loved and celebrated you are today. Here’s to counting down the days until August! 🍼✨
