Copay accumulators create unnecessary barriers to care by preventing copay assistance from counting toward a patient's deductible. The result? Unexpected costs, treatment disruptions, and added stress for individuals already managing chronic and rare health conditions.

We're grateful for your commitment to protecting access to life-saving medications and helping ensure patients can stay on the treatments prescribed by their healthcare team.

71% of marketplace plans in Pennsylvania use copay accumulator tricks that leave patients paying more. The state earns an F for it. 19 states have already acted. My bipartisan SB 268 makes all copays count. The Governor put it in his budget. The Senate should pass it.

We're proud to share that the Eastern Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation (EPBDF) has received a $50,000 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation, dedicated entirely to financial assistance for individuals and families living with bleeding disorders.

Unexpected medical expenses, travel costs for treatment, insurance challenges, and everyday financial pressures can create significant burdens for those living with a bleeding disorder. This generous support will help ensure that more members of our community have access to the assistance they need, when they need it most.

We're deeply grateful to the Foxwynd Foundation for recognizing these challenges and investing in the well-being of our community.

Together, we're helping individuals and families focus less on financial stress and more on their health, treatment, and quality of life.

The Fostering Effective Diagnosis and Treatment for Underserved Populations with Bleeding Disorders Act would create a coordinated federal framework for advancing research, provider education, and awareness of conditions such as hemophilia and von Willebrand disease as they affect women and girls.

FED UP Act aims to improve diagnosis, care, and research equity for women and girls with bleeding disorders.
