Chester County ACEs Coalition The study found that the greater number of adverse childhood experiences the greater the possibility of disabilities and dysfunction in adult life.

The Chester County ACEs Coalition's mission is to increase the county's awareness, knowledge, and education on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, and toxic stress, as well as focus on hope and resiliency in order to offset the cycle of trauma. The Adverse Childhood Experience Study (ACES) is the largest and first research study that established a direct association between childhood tra

uma and adult ill health. The Chester County ACEs Coalition is a collective impact initiative to bring awareness, knowledge, prevention, and initiatives throughout the county on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, and toxic-stress. Building resiliency and fostering hope can offset the cycle of trauma as well as contribute to long-term health benefits, bringing strength to our communities.

Father’s Day is a time to recognize the dads and father figures who show up in big and small ways—who listen, guide, protect, and help build strong, resilient kids and families. Your presence matters more than you know, and the connections you create can last a lifetime.

Today we honor all fathers, stepdads, grandfathers, mentors, and caregivers who continue to invest in the well-being of the next generation.

🌻 Introducing our first Faces of Resilience feature: Dawn Grieco! 🌻

As part of our Summer of Connection campaign, the Chester County ACEs Coalition is celebrating the people, stories, and relationships that remind us what resilience truly looks like.

Faces of Resilience was created to highlight members of our community who are building connection, finding strength, supporting others, and creating spaces where people feel seen, known, and valued. Resilience is not about never experiencing challenges — it’s about the people, supports, and moments that help us keep moving forward.

We are honored to feature Dawn Grieco, a lifelong Chester County resident, Chester County ACEs Coalition Community Advocate, and Certified Trauma 101 Trainer. Dawn shares that connection means “having people with whom you feel seen, known, and loved,” and reminds us that resilience is often found in the simple moments that bring us together — family meals, traditions, faith, community, and support.

Her reminder to us all:
✨ “Fall down seven times, get up eight. Failure is only the end of the story if you stay down.” ✨

Thank you, Dawn, for sharing your story and helping us inspire a more connected, compassionate Chester County. 💙
