Yes!

I cannot tell you how many times I have heard someone say something along the lines of, "There is only one company that sells pure essential oils." or "The only place I will purchase anything from is xyz company."

It is totally true that there are tons of companies out there selling fake or adulterated aromatic materials, but there are also many excellent companies that sell pure oils that are worth your consideration. Especially when your company of choice is either out of something you are looking for, or does not offer it in general.

I am not trying to talk anyone out of purchasing from their company of choice as long as what the company is selling is pure. However, it is literally impossible for any one company to be able to carry every available aromatic material or to always have everything in stock.

Also, did you know that many reputable essential oil companies will let you request or buy samples?

So once again, do not let brand loyalty limit your aromatherapy experience. You may even find out that your favorite aromatic material isn't even an essential oil.

There are several purposes of Registration as it:

•Formally recognizes those individuals who meet the eligibility requirements of the Aromatherapy Registration Council and pass the ARC Registration Examination in Aromatherapy.

•Encourages continued personal and professional growth in the practice of aromatherapy.

•Establishes a code of ethics (now the ARC Disciplinary Policy).

•Establishes and measures the level of knowledge required for registration in aromatherapy.

•Provides a standard of knowledge requisite for registration; thereby assisting the employer, public, and members of other professions in the assessment of the Aromatherapist.

•Promotes delivery of safe and effective practice of Aromatherapy through registration of Aromatherapists.

Did you know that the ARC Registration Examination in Aromatherapy is developed under the guidance of Professional Testing Corporation (PTC) and is administered two times a year, during established three-week testing periods, at computer-based testing facilities managed by Prometric?

Prometric has several hundred testing sites in the United States and Canada, as well as sites in other countries around the globe.

To find what test sites are available near you:
●Click on "Find a Test Site" on the ARC homepage or click on the link below.
●Under "Test Center Exam" choose Locate.
●Under "Select a Program" choose Aromatherapy Registration Council.
●Under "Select a Test" choose Registration Examination in Aromatherapy then click on the right arrow.
●Enter your desired location. You may need to type in your state or even country, depending on where you live.
●Enter the desired start and end dates that are within two weeks of each other that coincide with the next ARC exam, then click on the right arrow to find available locations, dates, and times in which the ARC exam is offered.
