📢 Office Closure Notice

Faith Family Practice will be closing at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026, and will be closed all day Monday, September 7, 2026.

We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

We still stand with the traditional vaccination schedules. This disease is here now, please vaccinate.

Kentucky health officials have confirmed an ongoing outbreak of measles in Kentucky. As of Aug. 17, 2026, there are confirmed cases in Christian, Todd, Trigg, and Washington Counties. This includes two people who have been hospitalized with measles.
The Kentucky Department for Public Health and local health departments are also investigating reports of measles in other counties.
The Kentucky Department for Public Health publishes updated county case counts each morning, Monday through Friday, at www.chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dph/dehp/idb/Pages/measles.aspx.
Vaccination is the best protection from measles. The measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine is safe, effective, and widely available in Kentucky. To get the MMR vaccine, contact your doctor or other health care provider, or your local health department.

If anyone knows who did this, please tell them to stop by the office and pay their bill for the extra work our grounds keeper had to do to make this serviceable and fees associated with the extra garbage. Our waste management company will not empty the dumpster if the lid cannot be closed. Evidently someone filled the dumpster with remodeling garbage and made a mess on the ground around the dumpster while we were closed for vacation. This is a private dumpster on private property. Cameras are now in place and should this happen again trespassing charges will be pursued. (Oh, there is a name and order number from Lowes on the box, but we want to give the potential guilty party a chance to do the right thing).

Just a reminder that will be closed all next week. We also will be closing early at 12pm today, August 7, 2026.

During this closure week: If you are not feeling well, please visit an urgent care for non-life-threatening illnesses. If you have a medical emergency, please go to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1.

Also, we will monitor our electronic prescription system during the closure for medication refill requests.
If you need a refill during the closure, please contact your pharmacy and ask them to send us an electronic refill request. Refill requests will be reviewed, but processing may take longer than usual.

We will be closed from Monday, August 10, 2026, through Friday, August 14, 2026. We will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Due to this upcoming staff vacation, we strongly encourage patients to complete all school physicals, sports physicals, immunization updates, back-to-school forms, and other school-related healthcare needs during the week of July 27, 2026.

We expect high demand and limited appointment availability during the week before school begins. Please do not wait—appointment times are filling quickly.

DURING THIS CLOSURE:
1. If you are feeling ill, please visit an urgent care clinic for non-life-threatening illnesses.

2. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please go to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1.

3. We will monitor our electronic prescription system during the closure for medication refill requests. Please check your medication supply before the closure and request any needed refills in advance.
If you need a refill during the closure, please contact your pharmacy and ask them to send us an electronic refill request. Refill requests will be reviewed, but processing may take longer than usual.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Mountain Rural Telephone Cooperative for sending a great team to Faith Family Practice to install our new phone system!

This upgraded system will help us communicate more efficiently and continue providing the best possible care and service to our patients.

As with any new system, there may be a brief learning curve. Tomorrow, August 6, 2026, will be our first full day using the new phones. If your call is accidentally disconnected or another issue occurs, please call us back. We appreciate your patience as our team becomes familiar with the new equipment.
