Experiencing "awe"—whether looking at a sunset, a vast landscape, or a piece of art—has been shown to quiet the "default mode network" in your brain, which is often responsible for rumination and anxiety. Seeking moments of wonder is a legitimate technique for emotional regulation. We encourage our patients to find these "awe-filled" moments as part of their Integrative Health plan. 🌌🔭
