Happy Black Breastfeeding Week! This is a time for the WIC community to celebrate Black families (we know a lot of local agencies have some wonderful celebrations and festivities planned), honor the strength and wisdom of Black mothers and parents, and uplift the importance of culturally affirming breastfeeding support. This Black Breastfeeding Week, we celebrate, listen, learn, and recommit to building a future where every family can thrive.

Great news - AB 2160 was voted off the Senate floor with unanimous support! Big thanks to everyone who took the time to call your Senators or send in letters of support!

The next step is for the bill to be heard again in the Assembly for concurrence, and then the bill will head to the Governor's desk for signature. Stay tuned for template letters of support to the Governor and instructions on how to send them!
