Strutting away with the title! Congratulations to Lutheran Hospital's Care Management team for taking home the trophy in this year's Project Runway competition.

Using only the materials provided, teams were challenged to create one-of-a-kind fashion designs that showcased creativity, teamwork and a little runway flair. The Care Management team impressed voters with their innovative design and earned the top spot. 👏

At Lutheran Hospital, we're celebrating by inviting our community to take part in something lifesaving and a little competitive. Join us on July 16 for our inaugural Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, where donors can choose to support Team Fire or Team Police while helping ensure blood is available for patients throughout our region.

Congratulations to Garrett Weitzel, emergency department relief charge nurse and UBC chair, on being recognized with a L.O.V.E./DAISY Award! 💙

When Garrett noticed a patient attempting to get out of bed without assistance, he immediately stepped in to help. What started as a quick intervention became a much larger effort as he stayed at the bedside, assisted with patient care, coordinated with the care team, and helped ensure the patient remained safe and supported throughout the experience.

Even when faced with a challenging situation that created a significant fall risk, Garrett remained calm, compassionate and focused on what mattered most — the patient's safety and dignity.

Garrett’s willingness to put others first, lead by example and support both patients and fellow caregivers reflects the very best of Lutheran Hospital. Thank you, Garrett, for demonstrating our values through your exceptional teamwork, service and commitment to safe, high-quality care.
