Lutheran Hospital was proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of this year’s Breakfast with the Chief, supporting the Arvada Police Foundation and its work to build a stronger, safer and more connected community.

The event brought together community members, local leaders and partners to support programs focused on wellness and safety, youth engagement, education and resources for officers. It was also an opportunity to honor the four Arvada police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and recognize the dedication of those who continue to serve.

We’re grateful to the Arvada Police Foundation, Arvada Police Department, Colorado, Chief Brady, and everyone who came together in support of our community. At Lutheran, we’re proud to work alongside the people and organizations helping Arvada thrive.

Congratulations to Brooke Trudeau, ambulatory clinical pharmacy specialist at Lutheran Hospital and surrounding clinics, on receiving a L.O.V.E. Award!

During a diabetes medication review, Brooke took the time to listen to her patient’s concerns, explain treatment options and provide clear guidance about starting a new medication. Through regular check-ins, encouragement and compassionate care, she helped turn uncertainty into confidence.

Since working with Brooke, the patient has seen meaningful improvements in their blood sugar, A1C, energy and motivation.

Thank you, Brooke, for helping patients feel informed, supported and empowered throughout their health journeys. Please join us in celebrating her well-deserved recognition! 👏

Lutheran Hospital was honored to host “Creating Hope Through Art,” a special exhibit featuring artwork created by students at Intermountain Children’s Health Mount Saint Vincent.

Each painting, drawing and creative project tells a story of resilience, expression, healing and hope. For many children, art offers another way to process emotions, build confidence and discover their voice.

Thank you to these talented young artists for sharing their creativity—and a piece of their journey—with our caregivers, patients and visitors. 🎨❤️

Urology issues are common—but that doesn’t mean you have to wait until symptoms become severe to seek care.

In an upcoming episode of *Your Healthiest Life*, Dr. Katie Scott, urologist at Intermountain Health, sits down with Kyle Dyer to talk about why people often put off seeing a urologist and why it’s worth starting the conversation sooner.

She also discusses symptoms you shouldn’t ignore and how seeking care early can help patients better understand their options.

Healing doesn’t stop when a patient leaves the hospital. 💙

For many older adults, a safe recovery at home depends on having the right support in place — from nourishing meals and clean linens to transportation and help with everyday tasks.

Through Lutheran Hospital’s partnership with Seniors Resource Center, the Perfect Homecoming program helps make that transition a little easier. Lutheran care managers connect eligible older adults with services designed to help them recover safely and independently at home.

The partnership has supported patients like Gertie, who was recovering from a broken back and worried about how she would manage daily life once she left the hospital. With help from an in-home care professional, she had support with the everyday needs that made recovering at home possible.

“Everybody’s journey is a little bit different, and we are here to serve,” said Teresa Devine, director of development for Seniors Resource Center.

Over the past five years, Lutheran and Seniors Resource Center have helped an estimated 60 to 100 patients through Perfect Homecoming — extending care beyond the hospital walls and helping older adults continue their recovery with dignity, independence and support.

Because sometimes going home isn’t the end of the care journey. It’s the beginning of the next chapter.

August is National Breastfeeding Month, and at Lutheran Hospital, we're celebrating by making sure parents know they don't have to navigate feeding a newborn alone. 💙

Our **Breastfeeding Support Group** is a free, weekly space where breastfeeding and chestfeeding parents can connect with a Lactation Professional, ask questions and get support in a relaxed environment — available both **online and in person**.

During the group, parents can:

* Get answers to breastfeeding and feeding questions
* Have baby's weight checked
* Learn more about feeding and newborn care
* Connect with and get reassurance from other parents
* Talk through returning to work and pumping

Sessions are **free and offered weekly**, but registration is required due to limited group size.

This Breastfeeding Month, we're proud to support parents wherever they are in their feeding journey. 🤱
