Yesterday we held our monthly Town Hall Associate meetings, where we were able to recognize two of our amazing Circle of Excellence recipients!

Gabriela "Gabby" is our August Circle of Excellence winner. Gabby is the face we see at the Garden Café. She always has a big smile on her face. She is patient with everyone, especially the residents, no matter how long the line is, and she handles it with grace. Thank you, Gabby, for always bringing the best attitude and the best smile!

Director of Admissions, Allison is our September Circle of Excellence employee. Allison shows up even on the weekends when there is an admission, to meet with families. She is always kind to all staff and co-workers and is always professional. Thank you, Allison, for the kindness and dedication you show to our residents!

We thank them for their dedicated hands, strong backs, and caring spirits who work tirelessly behind the scenes to protect our patients, visitors, and staff from harm. We ask God to bless them with physical strength, good health, and peace of mind. Let us remind them each day how vital their role is in our community. Thank you.

Long-term care planning gives older adults a voice in decisions that may otherwise need to be made during a stressful moment. Talking about preferences ahead of time can also help families better understand what matters to their loved one and begin exploring options without the pressure of an immediate need.

Long-Term Care Planning Month is a good reason to put that conversation on the calendar. You do not need every answer before you start. You just need to begin.
