Building a stronger community takes strong partnerships. We were honored to welcome Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, State Senator Shelley Mayer, Chairman Vedat Gashi, Legislators Nancy Barr and Judah Holstein, and representatives from the offices of Assemblymember MaryJane Shimsky and Assemblyman Steve Otis to WJCS’s Annual Legislative Breakfast at the Mary J. WJCS was proud to partner with Volunteer New York for Regeneron's global volunteerism initiative, “Day for Doing Good” ( ) with more than 60 employees at their headquarters in . Participants created 100 wellness kits which included a journal, coloring book, socks, a blanket, a fidget toy, and snacks that will be distributed to WJCS clients receiving mental health and trauma treatment in our clinics. Volunteers also painted inspirational rocks and made bookmarks to include in each kit. Thank you to our partners and volunteers for a great day of community and service!

WJCS Shelanu & Supper Club members came together for a night of creativity, friendship, and unexpected karaoke! Participants painted planter pots and rock art to symbolize that we are all strong in our own ways and can all continue to grow and blossom every day. 🌱❤️

At the WJCS Parent Child Center in City of New Rochelle, NY, little learners build towers, dive into sensory play, flip through books, and let their imaginations run wild. While they’re having fun, they’re also developing the language, confidence, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills that help them thrive in school and beyond.

And the best part? Parents and caregivers are right there, learning, playing, and growing alongside their children as their first and most important teachers.

Every playful moment helps build a strong foundation for what comes next thanks to our partners Westchester County Government, Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, and ParentChild+.

WJCS CEO Seth Diamond joined leaders from across the country in Washington, D.C., this week for the American Enterprise Institute (AEI)’s discussion, “Charting a New Course on Homelessness Policy.” The event brought together policymakers, researchers, and service providers to explore innovative approaches to addressing homelessness and advancing lasting solutions. At WJCS, we are committed to supporting vulnerable individuals and families, and we’re proud to have Seth contribute to this important national conversation.
