Shhh.... don't tell the other humans...but one of our favorite volunteers had his 5th birthday the other day and it happend to be on the on the same day that he comes to visit us. We were so happy to give him a pup cup on his special day, because he is also very special to us. Thank you Piper and Pat for taking the time to come visit us each week. We just love seeing you both!🐾🥰

We want to take a moment to recognize someone truly special here at The Morrison Nursing Home 💚
For 30 years, Tammy has been a dedicated part of our family. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to always lend a helping hand have touched the lives of so many.
She goes above and beyond every day, not only completing her housekeeping supervisor responsibilities, but also bringing joy by joining in activities and creating meaningful moments with our residents. Whether it’s a game, a laugh, or just spending time together, she reminds us all what true dedication and heart look like.
Thank you Tammy, for 30 incredible years of service, compassion, and positivity. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Morrison family!

Happy Belated National Nursing Care Week! (May 10th-16th)

We want to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible staff for the enthusiasm, energy, and participation you’ve brought to this special week. Your willingness to jump in, have fun, and connect with one another truly makes a difference.
Nursing Care Week is more than just games and celebrations. It’s a time to honor the compassion, dedication, and hard work that goes into caring for others. It reminds us why we do what we do; to provide comfort, dignity, joy, and a sense of home for those in our care.

This Memorial Day, we paused to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Our residents gathered for special ceremonies led by Noreen and Bill Watts, taking time to reflect, share memories, and pay their respects to those who served.

🚨 PRANK 🚨

Life can get pretty serious at times, and we thought it would be fun for the residents and staff if we played a little April Fool’s Day Joke on Morrison and Sartwell! Here is a summary of what the Life Enrichment staff pulled off this week!

Kathy, our Life Enrichment Aide sat our residents down and reviewed a letter from "The Office of Regulatory Compliance, The Gaming Division"

Summary of what was in the letter.
Earlier this week, we received a very official letter stating that our twice-weekly bingo games were considered *illegal gambling activities* 😳
According to the notice, since money has been involved, we were told we must **shut down bingo immediately**… or risk fines—and even possible other penalties such as jail time for our Life Enrichment staff 🚔

The letter sounded so official that is caused quite a stir among residents and staff. No Bingo?!
Don't worry, she didn't let them fret for too long....Kathy informed them that we had responded to the letter and were waiting to hear back, even though the letter said there would be no negotiations. She then pretended that an email had just come in and read it aloud to the residents.

"Dear Morrison Nursing Home Residents and Staff,

Upon further review of the previous notice regarding bingo activities, we would like to clarify an important detail…
Just kidding 😄
**APRIL FOOLS!** 🍀🎉
Bingo is here to stay, Kathy & Luke are not going to jail, and the residents can keep enjoying one of their favorite weekly traditions.
Thanks to everyone for being such great sports—we love bringing laughter and fun into each day! "
