There’s the version of small business you see on Instagram… and then there’s the real thing.
The real thing is a little messier.
It’s early mornings and late nights. It’s financial stress and wondering if you made the right decision. It’s doing the job of five people because there simply aren’t five people.
It’s experimenting, failing, cleaning up, trying again, and somehow finding the energy to show up tomorrow.
And when you’re building a business in a small town, it can feel especially personal. The people buying your products are your neighbors. Your friends. The people you see at the grocery store. There’s nowhere to really hide when things are hard.
There have been seasons of Vibrant Roots that have been pure magic.
There have also been seasons of burnout.
Both are part of this story.
But underneath all of the craziness is something very simple: we care. A lot.
We care about what goes into these bottles. We care about the people making them. We care about the community drinking them. We care about creating something that encourages people to nourish themselves, slow down, connect with each other, and maybe live life a little more vibrantly.
We’re definitely not robots. There’s no laboratory full of mysterious ingredients. And despite what owning a business may lead you to believe, Brooke has yet to discover the money-printing machine. 😂
It’s just real people, real ingredients, a whole lot of work, a little chaos, and probably more love than is reasonable to put into a bottle.
Because at the end of the day, we aren’t here just to make products.
We’re here because we believe life is meant to be lived.
Messily. Fully. Together.
Vibrantly. 🌈💛
