Today we got together and painted some pumpkins! 🖌 🎨 Everyone's pumpkin turned out completely different, each with its own special touch. Some of us needed a little inspiration to get started, but in the end, we had a whole bunch of cute and spooky masterpieces! 🎃
It has been so much fun getting into the Halloween spirit! 🧡 🍂

We welcome the first day of October 🎃 with a little creativity and some Halloween fun this afternoon! Our former activity director, Dora, stopped by to help us make these adorable little ghosts using lamp shades and cheesecloth. 👻
Everyone had such a wonderful time, and every ghost turned out so cute and unique in its own special way! It's always fun to see how everyone adds their own little touch to a project. 💛
But the crafts weren't the only treat of the afternoon! Getting to visit with Dora and spend some time catching up, was so special. We were so happy to have us her with us today! Thank you, Dora!!

🍂 Happy First Day of Fall! 🍁

What a wonderful way to welcome the fall season! Today, we had some very special visitors stop by, and we absolutely loved every minute of it!

Ron Oyloe was kind enough to bring his friends and family , and of course his horses, to come and spend some time with us. We got to enjoy a couple of rides around the block!

And the weather couldn't have been more perfect! It wasn't too hot, it wasn't too cold, the sun was shining down on all those smiling faces, making for such a beautiful afternoon outside. 🍁🐴☀

Thank you Ron, family, and everyone who made this experience possible! 💛

Assisted Living Week - Day 4!

Day 4 was a huge another huge success! Our theme was Decade Day, Wear your favorite decade.
The highlight of the day was definitely the very special visit from Will and Anita Chamley and their camels! 🐫🐪💚 Everyone was so excited to meet them, and we learned so much from the Chamley's about their amazing animals. We had so much fun getting to see the camels up close and enjoying such a unique experience! 😁

It was a little windy and chilly outside, so after everyone had a chance to come out and say hello, we watched from our windows inside.

We wrapped up the day with some popcorn and pop, the perfect way to relax after such an exciting afternoon! 🍿🥤

Thank you so much Will and Anita (and Bruno and Joe 😉) for sharing your family, time, and knowledge with us! 💛📣

🐔 Assisted Living Week - Day 3 🚜

We had another fun filled day! We played Flick the Chicken! We had a blast trying to toss their little chickens into the pot; but I'll tell you what, it is a lot harder than it looks!

Then we put our farm knowledge to the test with some On the Farm Trivia 👩‍🌾🐄

We finished the day with the perfect sweet treat, Pie and Ice Cream!🥧🍦

🎉 Assisted Living Week - Day 2 🎉

We had another wonderful day celebrating our residents and staff! ❤

We started the morning by taking a little trip through the decades with a fun game of Jeopardy! We put out knowledge to the test, reminiscing about different decades, music, history, and all kinds of fun memories on the way! ❓❔❓

We finished the day on a musical not with a very special treat from Jeff Nelson, who shared his special talents with us! Jeff played some fantastic throwback music that had us reminiscing, tapping our toes, and enjoying the sounds of the days gone by. 🎵🎶

We also got our history table to display this week. It is such an amazing opportunity we have to see how every one's lives differ from one another's. Being able to see where so many of them come from is truly incredible. 🌺
