Dr. Robert W. Draeger

Dr. Robert W. Draeger passed away on October 26, 2026, at Traditions of Lebanon. He was born on February 15, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bob will be remembered as a man of deep compassion, lively spirit, and unmistakable personality. Goofy, quirky, and always able to find humor in everything, he moved through life with a sense of adventure that drew others to him. Known affectionately as “Biker Bob,” he embraced the things he loved with enthusiasm, including American history, Cowboys, motorcycles, hiking, and the outdoors.

His life was marked by service to others and a lasting commitment to care. He served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, sharing his knowledge and experience with students and colleagues. Bob volunteered and was a past Board Member of Valley Interfaith. During the AIDS epidemic, he worked at Holmes Hospital Infectious Diseases Center, caring for patients with compassion and courage. He also worked at five different health clinics in Hamilton County, where he cared for and treated patients with diabetes.

Bob is survived by his wife, Pamela Draeger; his daughters, Julia Draeger and Andrea Draeger; his granddaughter, Natalie Wood and his dogs, Reily and Piper.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Paul Hugo Draeger; his mother, Helen Draeger and his beloved dog, Nate.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, November 23, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00pm at Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W Locust St, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. A memorial service will follow beginning at 1:00pm.

Dr. Robert W. Draeger will be remembered with love for his humor, his generous heart, his adventurous nature, and the care he gave so freely to others. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.

Penny Eva Thompson

Penny Eva Thompson, age 84, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 25, 1942 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Elizabeth and Herman Schaeffer.

In addition to her parents, Penny was preceded in death by her loving husband, David L. Thompson; her daughter, Lori Murray; her sister, Judy Frazier and her brother, John Schaeffer.

Penny is survived by her daughter, Bambi Beachy; her son, David L Thompson Jr.; her brother, Herman Schaeffer; 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In her free time, Penny enjoyed watching her favorite TV show, Big Bang Theory; listening to the calming windchimes while bird watching and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held, Monday, October 19, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services immediately following, all at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust Street Wilmington, OH 45177.

Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.

Donald "Don" Allen Porter

Donald “Don” Allen Porter, 74, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Don is survived by his daughters, Carolyn (David) Johnson, Kasey Porter, and Emily (Joe) Hoffman; and his beloved grandchildren, Landen (Whitley) Pennington, Delaney Vunak, Kaleb Johnson, Zak Johnson, and Mackenzie Sanford.

Don was proud of his years of service as a deputy sheriff in Broward County, Florida, and as a training officer in Trotwood, Ohio. His dedication to serving others was an important part of his life; one he carried with him throughout the years.

Don spent years coaching Kasey and Emily’s softball teams. He was a history buff and enjoyed western films. He treasured the fishing trips he took with his father-in-law and brother, and the memories they created remained dear to him.

Those who knew Don will remember his love of music and unmistakable sense of humor. He always had song lyrics ready to sing, a movie quote to deliver, or a shimmy and shake to dance with those around him.

A lifelong comedian and jokester, Don loved making people laugh. His family will remember the laughter he brought into their lives, the music he enjoyed, and the jokes that came at just the right-or wrong-time.

Don will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the family and friends who knew and loved him. He will live on through the wisdom he imparted and the stories he shared.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.

Daisy Mae Mann

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Daisy Mann, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on October 7, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.

Born on February 25, 1950, Raised in Clarksville, Ohio. Daisy was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew her. She was the treasured daughter of the late Arthella “Tate” Kerns and Elmer Kerns and is now reunited with them, her sister Gloria Helton, and her dear son Kenny Mann in eternal peace.

Daisy's life was a tapestry of love, strength, and grace. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Melvin Mann, embarking on a beautiful journey of 57 years together. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children, whom she adored. Although their son Kenny preceded her in death, her memory lives on in her surviving children, Robert Mann and Becky Brummet, who carry forward her loving spirit.

A devoted grandmother to Hannah Mann and Eli Mann, a great-grandmother to three precious great-grandchildren and a sister to Dave and his wife Zoe Kerns, Daisy found immense joy in her family. She was a nurturing presence, always ready with a smile or a hug, and her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter and music.

Daisy had a profound love for the outdoors, often found tending to her garden or engaging in projects that brought joy to her grandchildren. Despite a long and courageous battle with cancer, Daisy's spirit remained unflinchingly bright. Her genuine kindness and selflessness were evident even in her sickest moments, as she continued to put the needs of others before her own.

Her passion for music and cooking was well-known, and family gatherings often echoed with her melodies and the comforting aromas of her culinary creations. To many, she was not just Daisy, but "Mom," a testament to the boundless love she shared with everyone in her life.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who surrounded Daisy in her final moments, providing comfort and care. She will be forever treasured in our hearts.

A service to celebrate Daisy's life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home in Hillsboro, OH. Visitation will be held 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg, OH.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Daisy's memory to Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ohio.

As we bid farewell to Daisy, we hold onto her legacy of love and kindness, cherishing the memories of a life well-lived. Her remarkable spirit will continue to inspire us every day.
