Ronald Jenkins Sr., age 79, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026 at his home.

He was born June 22, 1946 in Piqua, Ohio, son of the late Guy Otis and Zelma Olive (Mitchell) Jenkins.

Ronald retired from Hobart after 30+ years of dedicated service. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and being outdoors. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Jenkins whom he married on June 1, 2014; son, Richard (Connie) Jenkins; 4 grandchildren: Carson, Kera, T.J., and Bethany; step-daughter, Kela Hodson; many nieces and nephews; wonderful neighbor and friend, Mike Ward; special friends: Joe and Libby Rea; and his cat, Sammy.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Jenkins Jr. ; his first wife of 40+ years, Krista Jenkins; and 7 siblings.

Ronald's wishes were to be cremated and no services to be held.

Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Sheila Marie Hayslip, age 40, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

She was born May 18, 1986 in Houston, TX, daughter of Johnny and Mary Ann Ramirez Gomez.

Surviving is her husband, Justin Levi Hayslip whom she married March 11, 2013, 6 children, Riley, Channing, Jordan, Maisie, Everlynn & Chad; mother & father, Mary Ann & Johnny Gomez, mothers & fathers-in-law, Sandy & T.L. Davis, Ric & Teresa Hayslip; Siblings, Ricardo Garcia, Jason Garcia, Anthony (Priscilla) Gomez, Vanessa Gomez and Eric (Cindy Rodriguez) Gomez.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home Thursday, June 4, 2026, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The family requests everyone dress casually.

Ida Mae Sallee, age 81, of Martinsville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

She was born July 19, 1944 in Clinton County, OH, daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Gray Huston.

Ida was a member of the Church of God, was a former member of the Martinsville Mother's Club and had been a poll worker in Clinton County for several years. She was also a former Sunday School teacher; a sales representative for Avon and Tupperware and had worked as an associate at Walmart. She and her first husband James, enjoyed traveling all across the United States and several foreign countries as well.

Surviving are husband, Eckhart Sievers, daughter, Jennifer (Raymond Meddock) Habermehl, son, James (Melissa) Sallee, 10 Grandchildren, Ricky (Diane) Habermehl, Stephanie Habermehl, Lindsey Habermehl, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Kendra, Kyle, Kelsey, Kaleb and Kaeden Sallee. Also surviving is her great grandson, Liam Habermehl, Son-in-law, Richard Habermehl, and a sister Virginia Lofty.

In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her first husband, James Harvey Sallee and a brother, Paul Huston.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Pat Sallee officiating. Interment will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home on Saturday June 6, 2026 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.

Leroy Pigg, age 92, of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of the LaFollette, TN area, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 21, 2026 at Monarch Meadows in Seaman.

He was born January 15, 1934 in Berea, Kentucky, son of the late William Madison Pigg and Susan Mary (Lamb) Pigg.

Leroy attended the House of Deliverance in Hillsboro. He enjoyed reading his Bible and had taught Sunday School for many years.

Surviving are his 2 daughters: Sandy (Gerald) McGuire and Cathy (Jim) Kosegi both of Hillsboro; 2 sons: John (Cindy) Pigg of Mt Orab and Randy Pigg of Kettering; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; 3 step-daughters: Teresa (Doyl) Huckaby of La Follette, TN, Cheryl (James) Ritchie of Miamisburg, and Sharon Crabtree of Yellow Springs; step-son, Leroy Crabtree of Miamisburg; and a sister, Tracey "Ruby" Wilson.

In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Corenia Pigg; son, Charles Alan Pigg; 8 siblings: Carl Pigg, Steve Pigg, Bill Pigg, Delbert Pigg, Emerson Pigg, Earl Pigg, Mae Shoemaker, and Alice Devlin.

Funeral Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 3:00 PM with John Pigg and Pastor Danny Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, LaFollette, TN on Friday May 29, 2026 at 1:00 PM.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the services.

James A. Byrd, age 83, of Fairfield Township, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

He was born January 2, 1943 in Greenville, OH, son of the late James L. Byrd and Elizabeth K. Schmalenberger Byrd.

Jim was a member of Center Pointe Christian Church.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Carolyn K. Byrd, whom he married August 22, 1965, daughter and son-in-law, Lori & David Amick, and two grandchildren, Will Amick and Ella Amick.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Griffith.

Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, OH 45133, Monday, June 1, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Shawn Spradling officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, Ohio.

Thelma Elliott, age 86, of Wilmington, OH, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, at Hospice of Cincinnati surrounded by family.

Born on April 16, 1940, in Killeen, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of JD and Annie Lee Crocker. She married Larry Joseph Elliott, Sr., who preceded her in death, and together they built a life rooted in devotion, friendship, and family.

Thelma is survived by her sons, Larry Joseph Elliott, Jr. and his wife, Barbara; Vince Eugene Elliott and his wife, Anna; Jay Clarence Elliott and his wife, April; and many beloved grandchildren.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker and was known for her kindness, strength, generosity, and faith.

She enjoyed flying with her husband, Larry Joseph Sr., who was a pilot, and they loved restoring old cars together. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and helping others. She also loved gardening, attending church at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, cooking, birdwatching, and caring for animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joseph Elliott, Sr., her sons Mark Anthony and Chris Allen, and her daughter, Patsy Jo.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 11-12 pm at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow. Burial will take place at New Antioch Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, hospice staff, family, and friends for their kindness and support during this time.

Mary Catherine Constant, age 88, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on Thursday morning, May 21, 2026 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born April 22, 1938 in Lytle Waynesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl Fisher and Reva (Sears) Fisher.

Mary was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington. She enjoyed working in her yard and flowers. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her 6 children: Mary (Roger) Thompson, Maralyn (Robert) Jenkins, John Constant, Steve (Shauna) Constant, Clarence Constant Jr., and Mark Constant; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Russell Fisher and Leroy Fisher; 2 sisters, Jeanette Grauberger and Bessie Fisher; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Anna May Corbet; 2 brothers: Edwin Fisher and Irvin Fisher; and a daughter-in-law, Angela Constant.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, 55 Megan Drive Wilmington, Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11:00 am with Rev. Josh Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the church on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Violet J. Kelley, age 95, of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Hillsboro Acute Care in Hillsboro, OH.

She was born May 30, 1930 in Highland County, OH, daughter of the late Ernest Edward Dickey and Anna Grace Morgan Dickey.

Violet had worked several years as a beautician before owning and operating Kelly's Market in Fairfax.

She was a member of the Mowrystown Presbyterian Church and Circle #2.

Surviving is her husband, Hayes Kelley, whom she married June 26, 1951, daughter, Deborah (Richard) Tissot, son-in-law, Dennis Overstake, 3 Grandchildren, Fallon Tissot, Christopher Tissot and Kayla (James) Overstake Dettwiller. Also surviving are her 2 great-grandchildren, Claire & Hayes Dettwiller.

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by a daughter, Dixie Overstake, brother and sister-in-law, Leroy & Bonnie Dickey.

Services will be held at Mowrystown Presbyterian Church, Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mike Brazelle officiating. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery, Mowrystown, Ohio.

Friends will be received at Mowrystown Presbyterian Church Saturday, May 23, 2026 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
