Yesterday, we held a cookbook reception and featured several appetizers and desserts from resident submissions! We want to thank the community, residents, staff, friends and family of Brooks Place for your submissions! Also, a big shout out to activity director Kimberly Howard for compiling the recipes and creating this beautiful, LARGE PRINT 147pg keepsake cookbook!

Meet Cliff and his granddaughter, Lucy. Cliff worked in the coal mines of eastern Ky and then spent time as a car salesman. He’s a musician who spent many years playing bass guitar and also holds a black belt in martial arts. Lucy, his granddaughter is a frequent visitor who loves spending time with her grandfather putting puzzles together. Check out their latest puzzle!!! We’re so happy to have Cliff and what a bonus to have Lucy at the puzzle table with us! (Miss Norma, another resident is also pictured. She's never met a stranger!)
