🇺🇸 A heartfelt thank you to American Legion Post 10 and the Winfield Fire Department for their recent visit to the Kansas Veterans’ Home today to properly retire and dispose of nearly 3,000 worn and unserviceable American flags.

The respectful flag retirement ceremony serves as a reminder of the honor, sacrifice, and freedoms represented by our nation's flag. We are grateful for the dedication of the Legion members who took the time to ensure these flags were retired with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Thank you, American Legion Post 10 and Winfield Fire Department for your continued commitment to honoring our nation's traditions and supporting our veterans. 🇺🇸

Today, the American Legion Riders stopped at KVH during their Legacy Run to spend time visiting with our veterans. Approximately 65 riders participated, sharing stories, conversation, and camaraderie with the residents.

The visit was greatly appreciated by everyone involved and provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with those who have served our country. As part of their visit, the American Legion Riders also presented KVH with a Certificate of Appreciation.

We are grateful for their support, dedication to veterans, and for making KVH a stop on their Legacy Run. Thank you, American Legion Riders, for an outstanding visit!

Today we honor the brave men who landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Their courage and sacrifice helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.
We proudly remember these heroes and thank all Veterans for their service.
