Recently recognized nationally as one of the 100 𝒞𝓇𝒾𝓉𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓁 𝒜𝒸𝒸ℯ𝓈𝓈 ℋℴ𝓈𝓅𝒾𝓉𝒶𝓁𝓈 𝒯ℴ 𝒦𝓃ℴ𝓌 and now for our QUALITY CARE!

Becker’s Hospital Review recently recognized Huggins Hospital as one of 508 hospitals nationwide with a catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) rate of zero. Huggins was also one of only three hospitals in New Hampshire to receive this recognition!

Huggins Hospital has been recognized as one of the "100 Critical Access Hospitals to Know" by Becker's Hospital Review! We are the only Critical Access Hospital in NH and one of only six in New England to earn this national recognition! According to Becker's, this recognition places Huggins Hospital among a select group of hospitals that are setting the standard for rural healthcare - organizations known for expanding access to care, strengthening services close to home and improving the health of their communities.

The Becker’s 2026 honor continues a longstanding tradition of national recognition for Huggins Hospital. Over the years, our organization, our leadership and our individual staff members have been acknowledged for excellence in quality and leadership, demonstrating a consistent commitment to workforce culture and to our patients. Being named to Becker’s “100 Critical Access Hospitals to Know” list reflects the consistent, behind-the-scenes work of delivering reliable care and the continued trust and support from donors, patients and the Huggins Hospital community.

Happy Hospital Week!

This year’s theme, “Healing Happens Here,” beautifully reflects the dedication our Huggins Family brings to our community every single day. Healing isn’t just what we offer our patients, it’s something we practice ourselves, too.

We began the week by sharing employee appreciation gifts and gathering for a cozy “Spill the Tea” session, creating space to pause, connect and reflect. Throughout the week, we embraced moments of mindfulness and renewal with guided sessions designed to help us reset, refresh and restore.

We sprinkled plenty of fun and laughter into the week too with scavenger hunts, popcorn patio party, free personalized shoe fittings from Marathon Sports, musical games and an ice cream social that gave everyone a sweet moment to unwind. We wrapped up the celebration with energizing field day games, a hot dog bar and a restorative community walk led by our Wellness Committee — a perfect reminder that caring for ourselves helps us better care for others.

It was a fun, jam-packed week centered on mindfulness, connection and celebrating the incredible team!

Honestly, we love our nurses. Like, a lot! They somehow juggle science, compassion, patience and a hundred other things. And they make it look effortless. They are the calm in the chaos and are skilled with finding the humor that gets everyone through the toughest of days.

As we wrap up National Nurses Week today, we say “thank you” from the bottom of our hearts to all the nurses in the world and especially to our Huggins Family of nurses! ❤️
