Huggins’ vision is to be the community’s home for health and wellbeing and our mission is to empower the fulfillment of life through better health.

Huggins Hospital is a non-profit community hospital located in Wolfeboro, NH. We are the preferred provider of primary, secondary, and specialty health care services in the region. Huggins provides medical services to the region’s year-round population of 30,000 residents and approximately 120,000 seasonal residents and visitors who come from all over the world to enjoy the Lakes Region.

We’re honored to have received an official proclamation from Governor Kelly Ayotte, recognizing August 23-29, 2026, as Health Unit Coordinators Week in New Hampshire. This proclamation brings greater awareness and recognition to the important role HUCs play across healthcare organizations throughout the state.

Health Unit Coordinators are essential members of healthcare teams, helping coordinate patient care, maintain health records, manage orders and facilitate communication among patients, families and care teams. Their organization, professionalism and attention to detail help support safe, compassionate and coordinated care.

Tonight we hosted our first Walk With A Doc event at The Nick! The walk was led by Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Thomas Varney and Internal Medicine Provider, Dr. Kaylyn Kirk. It was a beautiful evening spent walking, connecting and discussing joint pain, injury prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! We loved seeing our community come together for an evening of movement and conversation.
