Michael McKenzie does not call himself a technologist. He calls himself a businessman who uses technology to solve problems.
Before co-founding SlicedHealth, he spent years implementing EHR systems inside rural hospitals, often sleeping in the building for a week at a stretch to make sure the technology actually worked for the people using it.
"There are just not enough people inside those walls to serve the healthcare needs of the community," he said. "We saw a big opportunity to revisit that gap."
That belief shaped SlicedHealth: real-time contract intelligence that gives community hospitals the visibility large systems have had for years, without adding staff or disrupting how they work.
