Game Day was a great success! The skies were a beautiful blue, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.

A special treat for the day was Lowell's famous homemade ice cream, paired with Lynda's delicious homemade pizzelle cookies. Residents gathered together to socialize, play games, and share plenty of laughter. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying each other's company and making new memories.

It truly was a great morning filled with fun, friendship, and smiles all around!

⚾ Our trip to the Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball Team was one to remember!

The weather kept us guessing, but we enjoyed a great evening of baseball, laughter, and time together before the rain finally rolled in. We made it back to the bus just in time, and later found out the Dragons pulled off an exciting win after a rain delay and extra innings!

The West Hills Community Church youth group from Johnstown PA came to Legacy Village on a mission. They tackled every task with enthusiasm-from pulling weeds and cleaning out unwanted items in our garage to setting up tables and chair for our campus picnic. The heat was unbearable yet they worked tirelessly and never complained. They truly came through as champions.

We braved the heat, shared plenty of laughs, enjoyed delicious food, and made wonderful memories together. It was a joy to spend time with our residents, families, and team celebrating the amazing community we call home.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's cookout such a special day. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Congratulations to Mariah Smith, our Aide of the Month! Mariah has been a valued member of the Legacy Village team for the past 8 months. Her favorite part of her job is working alongside her wonderful co-workers and listening to the residents share their life stories. She enjoys building meaningful connections with those she cares for each day.
When she's not at work, Mariah loves spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking delicious treats. A fun fact about Mariah is that five Subway sandwiches stacked end to end are taller than she is! Her favorite hobbies include reading books and crocheting.

The evening was warm, and the gentle breeze made for the perfect setting for July’s Music on the Lawn. Brian Brenner brought his A-game, along with many of his loyal supporters, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. His outstanding performance had residents singing along, tapping their feet, and enjoying a wonderful evening of music, laughter, and community. It was a fantastic night spent outdoors making summer memories.

Aytianna "Annie" Buford has been a valued member of the Legacy Village team since June 2025. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the joy on our residents' faces as she provides them with the very best care. Her compassion and dedication make a positive difference in the lives of those she serves every day.
When Annie isn't at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and watching reality TV favorites like Big Brother and Survivor. A fun fact about Annie is that she loves to cook, and her famous chicken pie is always a favorite!
Annie's passion for caring for others began at a young age while helping care for her brother, who had muscular dystrophy. That experience inspired the caring heart she brings to her work each day. In her free time, she also enjoys cooking, adult coloring, and shopping for her girls.
Thank you, Annie, for your kindness, dedication, and the exceptional care you provide to our residents. We are grateful to have you as part of the Legacy Village family.

We celebrated a few days early, but the joy was just the same! This month, our very own Bonnie Phillips reached an incredible milestone—her 100th birthday!

Bonnie was surrounded by her loving family and friends as they gathered to celebrate this remarkable occasion. She was honored with a special declaration presented by Greene County Commissioner Tom Koogler, recognizing her century of life and the impact she has made.

The celebration included a beautiful birthday cake and a stunning bouquet of 100 roses, making the day even more memorable. It was a perfect day filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt celebration.

Happy 100th Birthday, Bonnie! Here’s to a life well lived and the wonderful memories you’ve shared with all of us.
