πŸ’™πŸŒ± Wellness Wednesday πŸŒ±πŸ’™

Life gets busy, but taking care of your mental health doesn't have to mean making big changes. Healthy habits are often built through small, consistent actions that fit into your everyday routine. ✨

βœ… Take a few deep breaths before your next task
βœ… Stay hydrated throughout the day
βœ… Step outside for a few minutes of fresh air
βœ… Take short breaks to reset and recharge
βœ… Celebrate small accomplishments along the way

Remember, progress is not about perfection. Even a few minutes spent caring for yourself can make a positive difference in your overall well-being. πŸ’™

🌟 Building the Behavioral Health Workforce of Tomorrow 🌟

Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services is excited to welcome Yankton High School seniors this fall through the Yankton's BEST (Behavioral Health Experiential Student Training) Initiative, funded by a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant. Through the World of Work program, students will have the opportunity to gain real world experience in behavioral health and explore careers that make a meaningful difference in our community.

By investing in students today, we are helping build a stronger, healthier community for tomorrow. We look forward to meeting these future leaders and sharing the incredible impact behavioral health professionals have every day.

πŸ‚πŸ’› Sunday Reflection πŸ’›πŸ‚

This Indigenous Peoples' Day, we pause to reflect on the many stories, traditions, and experiences that help shape our communities. It is a time to learn from one another, honor the connections that bring us together, and appreciate the diverse cultures and
perspectives that enrich our lives. 🌿

Reflection reminds us that understanding grows when we listen, relationships strengthen when we show respect, and communities thrive when everyone feels valued and included. No matter where we come from, we all share the opportunity to build a future rooted in compassion, learning, and connection. 🀝✨

πŸŽπŸ“š Wellness Wednesday πŸ“šπŸŽ

As the back-to-school season approaches, it is normal for students and families to feel a mix of excitement and stress. New routines, busy schedules, and academic expectations can be overwhelming, but small steps can make a big difference. πŸ’™

✨ Tips for managing back to school stress: βœ… Start adjusting sleep schedules early βœ… Create a daily routine to reduce uncertainty βœ… Break big tasks into smaller, manageable steps βœ… Make time for fun, relaxation, and self-careβœ… Talk openly about worries or concerns βœ… Remember that it is okay to ask for help when needed

Mental wellness is just as important as academic success. Taking care of your mental health helps build confidence, resilience, and a positive start to the school year. 🌟
