Pure Excellence Healthcare is officially joining the One Nation Overcharged movement — a national call to action demanding fairness, transparency, and affordability in healthcare.

As a nurse pursuing my Doctoral degree to strengthen patient outcomes at the systems level, I stand firmly for dignity, access, and equity in healthcare. I know meaningful change is possible when we rise together with a shared purpose and a unified voice.

I first learned about this initiative through my church — a deeply engaged community partner. Their commitment inspired me, and now I’m adding my voice — and my organization — to this fight.

Knee replacements, childbirth, hernia repairs, and gallbladder removals — nearly all of us know someone who has faced staggering out‑of‑pocket deductibles from at least one of these top four procedures. Should we focus more on preventative medicine? Yes! But communities need health insurance coverage that also supports prevention efforts.

These aren’t just examples to drive a point. Behind every example is a real patient, a real family dealing with real stress, and making real sacrifices.

🍂 FALL SKILLS TESTING — PURE EXCELLENCE HEALTHCARE (RTS39684)

We’re proud to continue expanding access for nurse aide candidates this fall through our partnership with Credentia! Testing sessions are currently held every Monday & Wednesday at 11:00 AM (per evaluator request), and we’re actively working to add Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday dates soon. We are even working towards securing weekend slots.

We are very committed to ending the backlog of students in Central PA who need skills testing. If you know an Administrator or Owner of a nurse aide training program that has difficulty finding testing dates for their students in our area, please share! Cinco de Mayo isn’t about margaritas or party flyers — it’s a reminder of resistance, resilience, and a community that refused to be erased.

On May 5, 1862, Mexican forces won the Battle of Puebla against a much larger French army. It wasn’t the end of the war, but it was a moment that showed the world what courage looks like when people stand together against impossible odds.

Today, Cinco de Mayo has become a celebration of Mexican culture, identity, and pride — especially here in the United States, where so many communities carry that same spirit of perseverance.

And that’s exactly why representation from our leaders matters.
When leaders understand the histories, struggles, and triumphs of the communities they serve, they make decisions that honor people instead of erasing them. They speak with cultural awareness, not stereotypes. They show respect, not performative gestures.

Representation isn’t symbolic — it shapes policy, protects communities, and ensures that every culture’s story is told with truth and dignity.

Cinco de Mayo is a reminder that our histories deserve to be seen, our voices deserve to be heard, and our leaders should reflect the people they serve.

Since we opened in 2021, our students at Pure Excellence Healthcare have consistently achieved average scores in the 80th percentile on the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) examination.

The chart is slightly off-center, but here is what we found when we ran our reports today...

As Jay‑Z put it, “Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t!” 🥳😉
This isn’t about “bragging rights.” I’m sure other nurse aide training programs are doing just as well, and many are probably even doing better. We drive by our competitors daily and see that they have more space, more amenities, and far more resources than we do.

But what we do have is a “little‑big” school with a WHOLE lot of heart. What we lack in size, we make up for in intention, consistency, and the way we prepare our students to step confidently into healthcare. Our outcomes aren’t about comparison—they’re a reflection of the meaningful work happening here every day. We talk about our data because we stand behind our outcomes, and we are always looking for ways to improve.

At Pure Excellence Healthcare, success isn’t an accident. It’s our commitment.
