✨Pairing yoga with breathwork can transform your practice into deeper states of somatic healing, trauma recovery, and conscious meditation. Breath is the foundation of life. When paired with yoga, it serves as a bridge between the body and mind.
✨The Sanskrit word for breathwork is pranayama. “Prana” means “life force” and “ayama” means “expansion” or
“control.” Through this powerful practice, we can harness our breath to enhance both physical and mental health, balancing the nervous system, and creating a mindful state of being.
✨in This workshop includes a 45 minute healing yoga class with Mandy, a 45 minute breathwork session with Jenn, and a 30 minute Q&A talk-back session with Mandy and Jenn where students can process their experience and also learn how to incorporate yoga and breathwork into their daily lives in an accessible way.
✨The yoga portion of this workshop will focus on uniting trauma recovery with our yoga practice. This will be a heated yoga session appropriate for all levels. This will NOT be a vinyasa flow practice. Instead, we will build intensity through repetition, standing poses and chakra-balancing flows. Then, we will cool down with both yin and restorative poses on the ground.
✨The breathwork portion of this class will focus on somatic release, trauma-informed instruction, and intentionally grounding into the present moment. This will not be a heated session. Students will be guided every step of the way and headphones will be provided for a deeper state of meditation. No experience is necessary and beginners are welcome.
✨Students can expect to leave this workshop with specific tools for adding “small doses” of yoga and breathwork into their daily lives as a source of nourishment and continued healing.
