Continuing our heat-related series, ECH Yuma remains committed to our community’s health and safety during extreme temperatures.

Heat stroke is a medical emergency and should be taken seriously. Knowing the signs can help you act quickly when every minute matters.

Symptoms of heat stroke may include:

High body temperature
Confusion or slurred speech
Seizures or loss of consciousness
No sweating or very dry skin
Rapid heartbeat
Throbbing headache

If you or someone near you is showing signs of heat stroke, call 911 or seek emergency care immediately.

Exceptional Community Hospital – Yuma recently joined Jennifer and Theresa on Today in Yuma to promote water safety and the importance of wearing life jackets.

ECH Yuma Community Liaison Lisa Brazeel, along with Jennifer and AJ, represented the Greater Yuma Water Safety Alliance and shared an important reminder for families throughout our community.

At ECH Yuma, we are proud of our partnership with this dedicated alliance and its continued efforts to prevent drowning and promote safer choices around water.

Anyone can drown. No one should.

• Appointments cannot be made by calling the hospital. Hospital staff do not have access to the online scheduling system.

• Physical forms are not provided by the hospital. Please contact your school for the required forms.

• Complete all required sections of the forms before arriving for your appointment.

• Availability is limited. Scroll through the online calendar until you find an open date and time.

• Check the scheduling page regularly. Cancelled appointments may become available.
