❤️IPPF held its Annual Consultative Meeting with Donors and Partners, from June 14-16, 2026 at Dublin. Our very own Miss Grace Aumua (youth officer)- had the priviledge to attend as our Youth Ambassador, young activist and representative for Samoa Family Health Association, together with representing the Pacific Member Associations of IPPF.

Ms. Aumua presented on the significant work SFHA and MAs, including her involvement with our youth volunteers. Nonetheless, she expressed the initiatives carried out by and through the Youth OCEANS Group🌴💙

A valueable opportunity as it allowed everyone attending to connect with one another, especially among our donors and partners. Allowing Ms. Aumua as well to showcase the work and commitment carried out not only in Samoa but in our Pasefika Islands🌸

Through the presented commitment, Ms. Aumua shared the core values that guide the work we do - Alofa (love), Fa'aaloalo (respect), Tautua (service). These lie at the heart of whatever we do, and it is a insight reminder for our partners that what we continue to fight for daily shapes the world we want to live in tomorrow.

~A world where kindness speaks louder than oppression, and where every individual has the opportunity to thrive with dignity and respect✨.

All in all, this event was a great success. Many thanks to all the Donors and Partners for the oppportunity to hear our voices. Faafetai Tele Lava.❤️@followers

A new partnership is on the horizon! 🤝🌺

Today, our Executive Director and Program Manager met with the Peace Corps Samoa team to discuss the transition of current Peace Corps Samoa Volunteers into SFHA for the final year of their service. As these dedicated volunteers near the end of their second year, we are excited about the possibility of welcoming them into the SFHA family.

This is a first for SFHA, and we are grateful for the opportunity to explore this collaboration. We look forward to the new ideas, experiences, and positive impact we can create together in serving our communities.

Welcome to this exciting new journey! 💙 fans

After a week of dedicated learning and capacity building, SFHA Staff have successfully completed an In-Service Training and Refresher on the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). 💚

This valuable training strengthened our knowledge, skills, and preparedness to deliver quality, responsive, and survivor-centered services, particularly in times of emergencies and humanitarian settings.

We thank all staff for their active participation, commitment, and engagement throughout the week. Together, we continue to build a stronger, more informed team dedicated to improving sexual and reproductive health and rights for all.🥰

~Today's misconception & myth: Accessing testing sites and healthcare facilities are hard and that it is expensive or costly for tests.

The fact in regards to this misconception and myth is that: services provided by SFHA and other health facilities are low-cost or free of charge. MYTH of the Day: Healthcare workers will share your information and expose your results for the public to see once you get tested.

However, the FACT is that: Confidentiality is a key factor in the work of healthcare workers and SFHA Staff. Results from clients and patients are kept safely for your privacy and confidentiality. Only you and the healthcare worker worker know the results from your testings and results.

it is important for the public to step away from the belief that their information is accessible to the public, this is a myth and the staff at SFHA know very well to abide by the code of conduct, in terms of privacy and confidentiality.

Thus, urging our people to take time and come tested for your health. Come get tested at SFHA - our clinics at Savalalo (Salote Building) , Motootua Main Office (Opposite Main TTM Hospital) and our Salelologa branch.

MYTHS & FACTS of the day:

If you have the idea or the information that 'once you get tested, and you get negative results, then you do not need to get tested again in the next few months'. This narrative can deter us all to believe we are now safe and HIV-free, whereas we should always get tested regularly. Suggesting a time frame of once every 3 months?

Through regular testing, you will know your current status on whether or not you have been infected. As we never know what can happen or has happened in this time span, even if we know what we are doing daily. Thus, it is important for us all to get tested regularly to better maintain our health, for us and those around us.

"Know the risks, Share the facts" DO IT FOR YOU. DO IT FOR THEM.
Come get tested at our three clinics: Moto'otua (Opposite the Main Hospital), Savalalo (Salote Florist building), and Savaii (Salelologa). Testing is free of charge and no need for any appointment.
