๐Ÿ’› JOIN THE SEA OF YELLOW ๐Ÿ’›

What if one colour could start thousands of conversations?

What if one day could help children across South Africa feel seen, understood and supported?

That's the idea behind the Sea of Yellow.

On 11 September, in support of National ADHD Awareness Day, we're inviting schools, families, businesses and communities across South Africa to wear yellow and stand together for children who think differently.

Because awareness matters.
When we understand ADHD, we move beyond labels.

We stop asking:
โŒ "Why won't they just behave?"
โŒ "Why aren't they trying harder?"

And start asking:
๐Ÿ’› "How can we support them?"
๐Ÿ’› "What do they need to thrive?"

The Sea of Yellow is more than a fundraiser.
It's more than an awareness campaign.

It's a movement.

A movement that says every child deserves to be understood.
A movement that challenges stigma.
A movement that creates hope for children and families who often feel alone.

For just R10, you can help us continue identifying barriers to learning, connecting families with support, and creating brighter futures for children across South Africa.

So on 11 September:

๐Ÿ’› Wear yellow.
๐Ÿ’› Donate R10.
๐Ÿ’› Share your photo.
๐Ÿ’› Start a conversation.
๐Ÿ’› Stand with children who think differently.

Together, let's paint South Africa yellow.

Because when thousands of people come together for one cause, small actions become a powerful wave of change.

Kids notice more than we realize.. and often the small things we donโ€™t think twice about. ๐Ÿง  ๐Ÿ’ญ

How we talk to ourselves.
How we handle stress.
How we treat others.
How we respond when things go wrong.

Theyโ€™re learning from what we do just as much as what we say.

Not perfectly. Just honestly, in everyday moments.

And thatโ€™s where so much of their understanding of the world comes from. ๐Ÿ’ž

International Day of Play (June 11):

Backed by the UN, UNICEF, and UNESCO, this observance highlights play as a fundamental human right for children.

It focuses on protecting play and childhood, providing families with resources for both outdoor and safe online play - Unicef

โ€˜Evidence shows that happy and healthy childhoods are built on play. Play isnโ€™t just fun, itโ€™s essential. Schools have a unique and vital role in supporting childrenโ€™s ability to learn, play, be active and experience nature.Through play, children learn to forge connections with others, build a wide range of leadership skills, develop resilience, navigate relationships and social challenges, and conquer their fears. Play helps children to thrive in a rapidly changing worldโ€™ - Play England
